Well, it was a cold day in the shop, sitting around -10c. I wanted to build a Burr puzzle that I came across in a store and thought it would be a fun project to recreate using some scrap walnut.
The puzzle itself is 6 equal length pieces just under 20mm square by 80mm long.
It's not obvious how all of the pieces are laid out but here is an image of all the pieces. Also, make sure to follow me on Instagram @heyimamaker ;)

All of the cuts were made at half the depth and then sized accordingly when fitting them together.
I start off by finding the center mark on two sides of each piece. If you look at the picture you might notice that a lot of the layout is one full block width or half a block width off of center. That with the image might give you enough to recreate one of these on your own.
After chamfering the edges I then apply some Tongue Oil to finish it off.
