I must comment on how talented you are! The wheelchair (hubby is a rehabilitation doctor) was astounding. I don't know if I could be skilled enough to try to crochet the wheelchair but I can give it a go. I am in awe of some of the incredibly nice things you tube artists do! I have been educated! At age 70, my dream of time for myself was to spend all my time creating and that is what I am doing, During homeschooling and raising 8 kids, I did many creative pre computer projects and some early computer helped projects. Having some one demonstrate and then be kind enough to supply written instructions is astounding to me and very much appreciated!
Martha Nelson wow! You have been a busy lady, many blessings to you :) And thank you very much, I hope you make the chair! It's really not as difficult as it looks, I think some parts are just finicky. Keep me posted if you make one.
Oh my, this is wonderful… I want to make a Teddy for my son’s 50th birthday that replicates a bear he had as small child. I made that bear from fabric printed with the pieces ready to cut out and sew. Green with white polka dots and red, white and green plaid, and huge eyes behind glasses… We called it Specs… Now I can sew my son a new bear and thanks to you it will have a pair of “specs” on it’s nose. Can’t wait to get started on this project now!
THANK you for doing this tutorial. I was looking for a glasses tutorial fairly recently for a Ralphie doll (from "A Christmas Story") I designed and I couldn't find any, so I had to wing it. They turned out cute, but not as nicely rounded as yours. I love the idea of wrapping the wire around a bottle! Wish I'd thought of that [slaps forehead]. Anyhoo, LOVE the little glasses..and LOVE your little pigs :P So cute :)
Beautiful, i usually do not write too many comments but you deserve to be mentioned ,i already love your crochet now I just love how you make these glasses,I have been looking for or how to do some doll glasses, for my Harry Potter doll.I cant sew them for the life do me ,so Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us mere mortals, may God bless you and your family.please be safe healthy and happy. Sincerely a fan, am also a subscriber to your Chanel and i love it.thank you,Connie Stephens
Thank you! I'm going to make a teddy bear couple for my boyfriend for our anniversary and I want my teddy bear to wear glasses, like me! He'll love it, thanks 💕
Thank you! I really appreciate your sharing your talent! I have Learned so much from watching your videos! I tried making the glasses with jewelry wire. That too comes in varying gauges and the benefit of colors (black, silver, gold) as well. Turned out great! Thanks again for sharing your talent!
Great video. So far all of them I have seen are really well done. If you decide to go with the green floral wire you might want to coat the cut ends with clear fingernail polish to stop rust or corrosion. You can also use any color nail polish to paint the glasses after they are shaped. I haven't tried to paint the wire before shaping yet but will try that method soon. You can also buy spools of wire at some home improvement stores or hardware stores. I found 16 gauge wire available there on spools and it works great.
Hi Sharon thanks for the information , instead of using yarn i took the middle out of some parra cord leaving a cord like tube sliding this around the wire ,this worked beautifully .I held it in place by slightly burning the ends.
Nearly 50 yrs ago I made a pillow Teddy from printed cotton the bear was printed on the fabric …. This bear was polka dots and plaid, big eyes behind glasses … We named him Specs. He was well loved. I want to make new Specs for my son’s 50th birthday . Thanks to your how to instructions I can make the “spec’s to sit on it’s nose…. Can’t wait to start the project!
Hi. Could I ask for tips on how to make them look like sunglasses please. I’m new to this and already have the metal look glasses done (unwrapped). What would I use for the ‘lens’ and best glue to stick it to the frame please? Any tips would be great. Thanks 🤞🏻
Thank you soooo much i made it bigger to fit in my own face i did the same technic and it works also but you need longer wire and by the way thank you😱😱😱😱😱😆😆😆
oh, lol my bad! I have the likes/dislikes disabled so people will leave comments instead. I find comments are more useful if somebody doesn't like the video they can tell me why and I can use that information to make better videos. But thank you so much :)
