Hi everyone. Check it out, my first woodworking video. I built this domino for my kid who loves watching all the domino videos one RU-vid. It was a fun project and I enjoyed working on the powertools in the carpentry room.
I am planning to make a table top using dominos as they would look in a game. I plan to use the skewers for the tile separaters and chop sticks for the dots, I think it'll give a better ratio of "dot" to "space". I live in Thailand, teak is used in traditional style houses and so we'll seasoned (40-50 year old wood) is easy to find and not too expensive. My tiles will be teak with bamboo wood dots, and rubber wood with teak dots (made of teak chop sticks), so a mix of dark and light tiles with light and dark dots. I've

Did my first set of dominos used walnut and took your advice on the bamboo. Really nice contrast with some mineral oil finish. Waiting on glue to dry on the custom box. I chose oak and have a 1/4" strip of walnut laminated near the middle should really pop. Thanks for the video.👍
