My experience from trying out around 15 different IRs with my Martin HD16RLSH with a LR Baggs Anthem installed, is that IRs works best in the studio. Live they usually don't translate as well and usually the direct tone is better for solo acoustic stuff. In a band mix where the acoustic guitar isn't the dominant instrument it works a bit better but usually the direct tone cuts better thru the live mix. It might of course be different with a standard piezo pickup, since the LR Baggs Anthem actuallt sounds pretty good out of the box.
Great points. In a denser band mix the piezo sound works great. But I’ve also done lot of duo shows where acoustic guitar is the only instrument besides vocals and there the acoustic IRs make a massive difference.
I am very confused I have tried every Tay816 M251 PZ2 in the downloaded IR folders. There is many, and the preset still complains that it cannot find it's IR.
It popped into my head while you were searching the frequencies in the EQ that you could assign the frequency range to the expression pedal after boosting by 10db to make the scanning easier. Maybe that idea will help someone.
Thank you, great tutorial. One thing I can't find any information on though.........when using the acoustic IR's, do you still need an AMP sim in the patch. I cannot get any sound at all unless I use an amp sim in the chain. Which begs the question, Which is the best amp sim on the POD GO for use with acoustic IR's? Many thanks
Hmm, I wasn't using any amps here. I wonder if there was just some sort of bug going on with your signal chain? You can always just download the patch I created here and see if that works. If you're still having trouble, let me know.

I think mine is from Planet of Waves, or maybe from some other planet. 🤔 Also I’m glad a unit 10 years younger is capable of slightly better pitch shifting 🤣
