How to Make Your Double Sided Tape Sticky Again

Have you ever went to use a roll of DST (Double Sided Tape), even a brand new roll, only to find its lost its stickiness or sticky power, as I like to call it? In this short video, I share how to make your tape sticky again. This tip was shared in a previous video I made, but thought I'd crop this part out, so it would be easier to find and view.
NOTE - The pressing cloth is very important, please DO NOT skip this step as you can burn your materials.
This video is filmed in portrait mode, so if you can not see the whole video, it's just my table and part of my machine that you see, you may need to turn your device and make the screen full screen, to see it.

😂🤣 Sorry about that, but at least we saved future rolls. Also, can't remember if I mentioned, but sometimes spraying a bit of water on it, before you press with your iron, helps. 😃

I keep mine in their bags also. I love this heat trick!!

Yes, keeping them in their bag is important. Mine often rip, so I keep a stash of small ziplocs for this reason. I also, you don't see it here because I took it off prior to filming so I wouldn't be fumbling with things too much, add a piece of masking tape over the end, where the tape end is. I don't know how much it helps, but it does help keep the end down and prevents it from lifting off and drying out more. Hope that makes sense. 🤞

mgrahamsews that makes sense and I’ll have to start doing it. I don’t use the Dritz brand. Not sure what brand it is. I have ordered it from Sailrite a few times when I was making cushions. It came with a paper/plastic type ring to protect the sides from attracting dust and other things that would take away the stickiness!!

@@Falaje64 mine is from Amazon and I find it dries out so quickly. And I get the multi packs, so they're really dried out before I get to them all. And they also become harder to cut somehow too. Maybe that's a user thing tho. 🤣

No, it did not end early. This was cropped out of the video tutorial for the Miriam Bag, so that's why it appears that way. I went right into constructing the bag, so cut it off after I finished explaining my tip. 😊
