I'm a beginner at embroidering. Your videos are so helpful. I learn best by watching. You explain everything well and have a soothing voice. I've watched other people's videos. You seem to show the proper way to do the different stitches and techniques. Thank you for all your videos. Congratulations on your 100k award!
I know this video is a year old but I just happened on it. You’ve inspired me to pick up embroidery again after way too many years and the first problem I ran into was corners. Thanks so much for this video.
It almost seems obvious when you show us how to turn corners but somehow when I'm on my own "obvious" doesn't always come to me! Thank you Sarah I so needed this.
I am a left handed beginner and am having problems with blanket stitch, your sampler video is genius, I will set that up and practice my stitches. I have started slow stitching using scraps to hopefully decorate the pieces to make a square denim rice bag. No ginger cat today... Many thanks for all your help with my new hobby.
Good morning Sarah! Thank you so much for showing corners! I have needed to see this 😊 you are so informative and knowledgeable, I so appreciate you! I hope you are well, have a very blessed weekend ❤️🌹🙏
Another fun video for me to watch while I hand quilt! I hope you have a peaceful week ahead! I have been busy filming for our channel. I just want you to know that I very much enjoy your content. Thank you for sharing this video and for your expertise.
Hi Sarah, thank you for your excellent informative video. Recently I had to turn a corner when doing chain stitch and had a couple of tries before it looked right, the same with stem stitch, so now I have something to refer to. Hope you and your husband have a nice holiday.
Oh nice! I just came across some Christmas ornaments in hardanger where they'd actually stitched the edge cluster blocks together to form a border with blanket stitches and rounded corners.
Another great video Sarah👏. I don't think it matters how long we may have been stitching.... it's still very easy to "lose the plot" at times, and these refreshers are just what's needed. Thanks heaps😘💜
Thank you! Corners are a struggle. I've been making bookmarks with blanket stitching around the edges and not one of the corners has been quite right so this will make a huge difference
Thanks for the tutorial. There is a cross stitch called Sampler of Stitches by the Drawn Thread. It looks really nice. In watching people talk about it on RU-vid, there are certain stitches that have given them more trouble than others. I keep thinking that this is where practicing them before hand would come in handy. They've had to unpick some several times and redoing them. I'm thinking of getting it, but if I do, I'm making a sampler of the stitches first. It's a great tip.
Was it Jon who came up with the idea of making the image for the thumbnail look as though you were being attacked by road signs with curves on? Very funny! Hope you have a good holiday and have no trouble with road signs :-)
Thank you for this video great. I literally just practised running stitch, chain stitch, back stitch and cross stitch as had my first lesson from a friend but your videos be great for a recap 💙 👍 I'm really enjoying it by the way do you think that you need to do knitting to be good at embroidery? As my friend mentioned it but I don't feel any lure towards it as just interested on embroidery really cheers
