Hey bro click the right stick when viewing map to lock the map to true North. Really helps with the orientation when trying to find somewhere fast

Holy moly, this was *SUPER* helpful. Here I was thinking I'd have to breed/catch mons with basically perfect IVs to build proper teams, and always wondered how the pros did it so fast. This absolutely speeds the process up. Also, gives me hope that I can use some of my shinys when I get them ready!

What I've been doing for EV training is looking at what the breakouts are, and double checking what EVs those mons give. Super easy and braindead to just stay in one spot and hit up the breakout mon

Hey, not sure if you'll see this, but you were talking about the map orientation being weird. When you're on the map you can press down on the right stick and it'll make the map set every time, instead of having to turn it.

One question, if I have some 70+ level pokemon that I've been playing with I know there are items to reduce EVs, are those worth it and do you ever use them, or should I just go get a fresh version of the pokemon and start over?

Hey I’m REALLY interested to know who you like for his Gen and who you think is a hidden gym Pokémon people aren’t talking enough about. For me I of course think roaring moon and Flutter mane will be top of usage, but PERSONALLY I think both the Water and fire Tauros are underrated. The stat distribution change on them made them a decent bit stronger and more physically bulky and I think you could run either in lieu of Arcanine. Keep it up champ!

Sup Bluecookies ;) How would you rate this game in comparison to the older games? Wolfe says this is the best gen since gen4/5, which is interesting because I've heard so much about this games performance issues and graphical issues. But as always, gameplay > graphics. Apparently you can set the map to keep it so North is North by pushing in either joystick.

Way to reset evs? I know there are the berries from the auction but it's inconsistent

so is there no way to reset ev's outside of berries?

I understand you can use hyper training to the best stats for IV’s but I guess I’m confused about EV’s. I know you can use protein and stuff to max it out but I think l never understood getting them from battling

Can you get evs with the let’s go mechanic? It would be much faster if you’re going in on all one stat

I stopped playing competitive around gen 5 because of how terribly time consuming EVs, breeding for IVs, hidden abilities etc were. Nice to see it’s gotten better, I might actually give it a go

Thanks! Have you been able to find ability patches yet? There are a few Pokemon (Umbreon for example) I really need the hidden ability on and getting those is apparently the biggest pain in this game, as they seemingly only come from raids and only with a chance. And it would even have to be a female, so I can breed down to 0 Attack without losing the HA...no patches is such a pain.

I felt that they went so many steps backwards with breeding and ev training. We had a good system in sword and shield

As a 31 year old man who has played Pokémon since the Red Blue days and absolutely loves Pokémon and is also a Dragon type main trainer, I would love to find a custom competitive league where people just use there favorite Pokémon instead of just the meta, find it so boring going online in scarlet and seeing the same damn meta teams over and over just shows that people are zombies and I don’t consider those people true Pokémon fans because they only use what’s meta I’m not saying that’s wrong I get people play to win but come on now it’s so boring but it is what it is I know I won’t win a lot as a dragon type main anymore lol I miss the days before fairy types were added when dragons only had 1 weakness man good times good times lol. I do wish gamefreak would just balance the game so there wasn’t just some crazy meta Pokémon that people will only use like the OP Goldengo and what not that’s just so boring, so if anyone has a custom league where people use there favorite Pokémon and not just meta please let me know lol

I don't think this way of EVing is efficient anymore unless you are gonna do several at a time. Otherwise just buy the vitamins.

Why does gamefreak make training battle ready pokemon such a slog. As if the new price increases for tournaments wasnt enough of a barrier to entry, but also take into consideration comp pokemon has a high learning curve and how obnoxious it is to set up a team - its almost like theyre trying to kill the comp scene

I can’t believe that they actually removed the EV training quality of life parts from the last couple generations. Very disappointing, and annoying to have to go back to grinding…

don't buy these games people, refunds are possible now for this game, use it they are just subpar games shoved out to meet holiday rush and anime tie incoming they are unfinished rushed products that without the brand name would flop as they should they aren't good, just illusion of good by shoving gimmicks in each game while not improving anything games constantly remove things, animations still the same, set mode gone, half the mons still gone, all to be sold back for another $30 dlc and again paying for HOME and NSO is another $40, they aren't cheap pokemon company and game freak as bad as EA honestly when looking at their ios products and unite, $40 skins and terrible monetization schemes already, they aren't good games or a good brand anymore the endless excuses do have to stop, the brand isn't what it used to be in quality, just less and less each game where you're sold less and less for higher prices, its not good
