Love this video, Leslie! This is also a good way to use old spices that maybe you don't want to actually put in food. Takes the guilt out of ending up with too many and not using them fast enough. 😀
I love all these recipes!! And that they’re natural. I’d like to suggest using the ends of the citrus fruit and the core of the apple and then you can actually use the rest or the fruit or eat it. You can freeze the extra slices of citrus too for adding to your water or these recipes. Thanks again and have a great week!!
This inspired me and even though I don't have all the ingredients for number nine, I do have mint tea bags, lemon and ground cinnamon! I'm excited for what my house is going to smell like and am working on it right now! 😍
Here is one I do a lot. Just put water on the stove and add a few drops of anise oil (the kind you use for candy) you can also use anise extract, but it doesn’t last very long. It makes your house smell like you have been making pizzelles all day. It’s also great for getting rid of odors .
Great recipes! I never think to do this! But really need to…with a sweet ol’ yellow Labrador adding her lovely scent to our home. 😂 🐕 🏡 Thx, as always, for teaching us new ways to have a “charming abode!” You are a cheery ray of sunshine. ☀️
In the ‘70s I’d use an electric simmering pot add apples, oranges, vanilla extract, pure cinnamon and cloves in water 😉 That aroma would permeate throughout the house! Then came the aroma oils to drop in the simmering pots WOW YOU brought me back 40 years ago! Also, the oil to pour on a round ring on top of the light bulb 💡 I’m going to mix some manana I graduated to eucalyptus leaves and potpourri Thanks for sharing WOW
You always have such great ideas! You could put these together either in jars or clear baggies with instructions to add water and give as gifts! As usual Leslie, you knocked it out of the park on these ideas. I have a dog and love essential oils but some like cinnamon are irritating to dogs! Yea, I know! Cinnamon is one of my favorites. Just be sure am do a little research on your essential oil scents for indoor pets! Love you guys and Jason always cracks me up!
Your spirit adds so much to your recipes! Love to watch you do anything! And Jason of course! I am going to try these for sure - especially the one using a candle warmer. Really also like the idea of reusing them and maybe even freezing them for later defrost to max out their use, but not sure if that would work. Definitely love the idea that a commenter made re: using up expired items instead of throwing them away.
This was amazing! I’m going to try all of them. Who needs to spend $$$ for scented candles when you can get a different scent from your kitchen. BRAVO! 👏
Thank you for sharing these! Can’t wait to try them out! You are precious and I love to watch your videos and your bubbly personality is so welcoming!!!! Helps add brightness to my day!!
GREAT video, Martha Stewart…I mean Leslie! I am kidding! I love, LOVE these ideas! I have said all the time that I walk into Kirklands, Pottery Barn or William Sonoma that I wish my house smelled like this. I’m so going to try these. Thank you for this idea. You are amazing!
The cinnamon scented pine ones you can get in bags at Hobby Lobby would be great to use and add fruits and water to them. I will definitely try all of these! ❤️
I will be trying these. I used to use the plug in things until I understood that they were bad for your health as well as the coils in your HVAC. I wish I could undo my using those things. What you offer us are natural and healthy. I am especially excited about this because since I have recovered from Covid I seem to phantom smell smoke, burning odors. While I did not lose my sense of taste or smell I definitely am having some issues with smell. Looking forward to trying these and a bonus being you use things most of us have or are inexpensive and easy to get. Thanks!!
Leslie, you are an absolute shining star!! I bet Amazon will sell tons of simmering pots in the next few days. One is coming to me!!! Thank you for making life so much more fun and enjoyable for so many. Constant prayers for you and Jason. 💖🙏🏼
Holy shit this channel blew up fast. I remember when kelsie was just talking about getting you a channel set up and your already over 100k!! I knew it was gonna blow it but i didnt know this fast.
I ordered the little glass pot and tried number one with coffee. At first I was like no way. This isnt going to smell good at all. All I smelled was old coffee but after a few minutes with the vanilla and cinnamon sticks and some boiling time the kitchen started to smell so good. Just like you said like coffee cake. My husband likes it also. Good job and now want to try the others. I worry a little because even on the vey lowest setting of my gas burner it has hard roiling boil so going to ha e to watch it closely for sure.
This is my most favorite RU-vid video I've seen in a long time. It kindled all sorts of fall inspiration! I can't wait to try out all of these. I'm all about using natural scents in my home, and these all sound amazing. Thank you!
Hi Leslie!!You are such a sweet ray of sunshine!!!These and fragrant combinations look awesome!!I can't wait to try some of them!!!Thank you so much!!!Have a lovely week.😁🍊🌾🥕🌞🌽🍍🥧
Whoa, I had no idea there were big size tealights! I'll be getting them for my little ceramic simmer/warmer pot! I'm in the throes of Fall fever, and can't wait to try a few of these to get the scent part going lol! 🍁🎃🌟
I loved this video. I wish you would have said what the sent reminds you of. It really helped when you said on number 5, "It smells like pottery barn or Williams-Sonoma." That really helped. Thanks again, that was really fun. 🌻
I would love to smell every one of them, but It’s obvious I can’t. So I will try the fresh mint, thyme, lime, and vanilla with water. Thank you so much for sharing smelly house remedies. I’am sure every one of them will smell good.💕👏🏼
Oh Leslie, you do not know how happy I am for the sharing of these recipes. I am anxious to try them. I love to make my home smell fresh. Thanks for sharing. Take care of Jason and yourself. (and grandson) lol. See you next time.
I put all mine in coconut oil and put in ice cube trays in the fridge till they harden , keep in ziplock bags , and pull one out for my warmers as needed, ice cube size is perfect size fir warmers.
Love your shirt. Also, I took your advice and bought new bins for my Christmas stuff and organized it by location. Used tape on the outside to say what it is. THANK YOU.
I was almost ready to ask if you could use a warmer for those scents and then you brought one out. I'm so bad at that stuff. I do use scented candles. I appreciate people like you who do that kind of stuff for your homes. 😁😁👋👋💖💖
Oh my word! I saved this video as soon as you put it out because all the scents sounded so good. I finally got around to trying one this morning. I’m simmering the coffee cake scent. I can’t believe how incredible it smells! Thank you so much! My husband says it’s not fair because it smells so good and it’s making him hungry, but I don’t have real coffee cake to feed him. Haha. Thank you again! Sending love and prayers for you and Jason.
Did you get the same size as the one I used in this video? I hope so! 🤞 It’s wayyyy big enough to use as a simmer pot! Hope your home smells fantastic!
I love these ideas, Leslie! You have no idea how much I needed this. My house generally smelled like an extension of my husband's shop. (garage smells) And he doesn't like having candles, since a friend's house burned down as a result of an unattended candle. SO.... this is AWESOME!! I love these scent ideas. And I can't wait for fall. 🎃
Stores carry battery operated candles now that you can operate by a remote control. I hate real candles but love, love, love the ambiance these battery operated candles give. Have them in my bedroom - I flick them on when the sun goes down and whether it's my husband or myself that goes to bed first, there is enough light for the next person (who shuts them off) -they are romantic too. Use them all over your house and not worry about a fire!
Some of those would probably make delicious teas. Also, some of the ingredients could be dehydrated and the mixture could be saved in a jar. Nice gifts!
Yes your blouse is beautiful 😍❤️. Also when your videos come on I tell my husband that my beautiful lady is on. I get so excited 😁. These recipes sound great but my husband doesn't do smells so unfortunately I can't try it or light candles but still love your ideas.
Oh I love summer pots! Thank you Leslie for all those recipes! I have all the ingredients like fresh rosemary, thyme , mint, basil, lavender etc. I will be making these soon. Last year I made one with rosemary, orange, clove, cinnamon sooooooo good!!!!
Thank you for all of these wonderful recipes. I can't wait to create them. My stove has a warming spot, so I'm going to try using it. Not sure it will heat it up enough. Leslie you and your cute hubby are delightful. I'm always excited to see that one of your videos has been put up. Have a wonderful day!!
Such a great idea, I will definitely be making some. I am going to try and use some rose water too. I cant believe I am the first person to comment. Thank you so much for all the videos you post i really appreciate your time and commitment.
You are amazing. Thank you for this video. I am anxious to try all but the coffee. We don’t drink coffee so no grounds. No problem- you gave me lots of other choices. ❤️
