@@PatrickRambles Question: do you think a matte screen protector is worth it? I am confused whether or not should I buy it, it gives a good drawing and writing experience but takes away the colors of the screen.
Yes, it's a trade off. The screen does get a bit duller. Paperlike has improved since it's first iteration, so it's far less dulling now, but you will always see a little bit of a difference. For me the writing experience and not getting finger prints is worth it.

As an artist i bought the twelve south compass pro and had to return it. The ipad 12.9in tends to wobble unless you hold it with your other hand. I really wanted to love the compass pro because of the portability but unfortunately that was a major flaw for me
I own a MacBook pro 2015, iPhone 11, ipod classic(7 gen) and iPad pro 2021. While my iPad has a cable with C port from both ends, i cant connect it to my mac, neither I can connect it to any standard socket “fork”. I can not use my iPhone wired headphones either on my mac, iPad, or ipod, and I can not use my ipod wired headphone for either my iPhone or my iPad. None of the chargers are compatible for more than one device. So for 4 apple devices, I have 4 different charging cables, 2 different “forks”, 3 different headphones - for iPad Bluetooth, which can be used for iPhone and mac, but not for my iPod classic (without converters). I feel like I’m not in the future yet.
Love these. I have the 12.9" 2 gig. Only option I didn't get was cellular. Still waiting for "the" Thunderbolt 4 "portable" hub to be released by someone. No one has taking advantage of this feature in a portable format. So far, in my research, all we can get is portable USB C or Thunderbolt that has a bulky power supply. Hoping you discover the missing link when it comes out. And by the way, I watch a LOT of tech channels. You do really good work. Like your videos, presentations and personality. And...once again... YES! The software is a frustrating disappointment. But I'm still keeping my M1. This can't last forever...I hope.

@@PatrickRambles Maybe that will be the solution. A Thunderbolt 4 Dock at the office and one at the home office, and a quality USB-C hub for on the go. But...who doesn't wasn't it all. Keep up the good work. I think you will do well.

Not a big fan of dongles and all these things we need to attach to the iPad to get work done. But, I do understand. The question I have is...we got to put all this stuff into something to carry? EDC (everyday, etc). Any recommendations? Great videos, very helpful and informative.

@@PatrickRambles Yeah, that Acasis drive sounds good and I’ll probably get one sometime next year, but I’m not familiar with the do’s and don’t s of NMVE SSDs, so there is one trepidation there. If there is someway to let them know I decided to buy based on your video, please let me know. Hey man. Thanks for that, I'll look into a good way of incorporating that into a video. As far as I'm aware, the Samsung drives work fine with iPads. I'll have a closer look though. Re the Acasis, there is a list of brands/types somewhere. I'll get back on that.

Good, not a lot of accessories I want/need this time. I am looking for a new hub. I might need to try the ACASIS hub. That seems to be the best option. So many hubs only have one USB C port for power in only. I like this one because there is an extra USB C port. Have you tied an external monitor with IOS 15? I did yesterday and it would not display my iPad Pro. I need to play around with it again today. But, just wondering if you had any issues with external monitors with the IOS 15. Thanks Steve! Well that's good news for you and a challenge for me 😅. I can't recommend the Acasis enough. It's a great little gizmo. I have tried external monitor support and it works fine for me (developer beta 2) but it's still just mirrored, bad image and silly aspect ratio.
@@PatrickRambles I will have to go try the monitor again today. I was playing around with a hub I bought on Amazon, but going to return it. It has the the straight USB C cable, and sticks straight out. I like the 90 degree cables.
@@PatrickRambles question Patrick. Do you know if on the ACASIS hub if you can do external display through the USB C port? Or, do you have to use the HDMI ports? That is where I was going wrong. The hub I bought does not allow the iPad to display through the USB C port, only the the HDMI ports. Even if I plug in power to the hub.
The Book Book case with the dark inner lining option, stained all the outer edges of my white Magic Keyboard. I was not able to remove the stains with any cleaning product I used. 12 South's website does sell a light colored inner lined case for the white Magic Keyboard, but does not emphasize its necessity so as not to stain the expensive white keyboard. I was upset with the damage to my keyboard and sent back the case to Book Book. They charged me for the return.

I think the Logitech is connected the same way as the magic keyboard, through the smart connectors. They can't be used for data transfer, so the usb hub can only be connected via the iPads native usb c port.
@@PatrickRambles I understand that. But my concern is the case is too thick and hence some USB connectors don't fit well into the USB-C slot, or so I heard. I was wondering if you have tested any dock with that case.
@@PatrickRambles well a lot of people call it noise as well. The paperlike makes the screen look like trash. All you youtubers getting sponsored not talking about it is a shame.
