This week on SMART Tips and Tricks, Walt Ingram teaches viewers how to make a simple and effective wild turkey call.
The call is made from a 35mm film cannister, where the lid is cut into a half moon shape and fourteen to seventeen holes are drilled in the bottom. Latex gloves are used for the reed, which can be adjusted by pressing on splits in the sides of the call.
The call is great for locating turkeys from a long distance away but can also be used to call them in close due to its adjustable volume.
Making your own call brings satisfaction and pride, so if you make one, share it in the comments below - and be sure to Like & Subscribe if you enjoyed the video!
