I love how excited you are about it. I will also woulda love this product when I began screen printing, makes it seem incredible easy and accessible for newcomers
the only useful thing i would buy from this is the mesh with the emulsion already on it since i’m pretty lazy lol other than that, the machine looks over price and it’s cheaper to use one of those bright ass construction lights from like home depot and a random glass plate
This needs to be an infomercial, with people trying and failing to shine UV lights on their screens for a few seconds before wiping their brows and saying "There's got to be a better way!"
@@latenighter1965 It doesn't seem like she removed the emulsions. I make screen prints my self. It looks like she left a layer of residues of emulsion on the screen by the color of the image area.
This isn’t nearly as simple as this video shows. You have to work hard to remove the residue. It doesn’t just float away in the water. The instructions that come with the machine are useless and there seems very little info to be easily found online. Without decent comprehensive instructions you’re simply left with ‘trial and error’ which results in many wasted screens at around £10 a pop ! The machine doesn’t even come with a single “free” screen to practice.
"make sure you pop the bag close then you take out the thing and pop it on the thing. then you're going to pop on the machine and pop the thing through the thing."
Wow, this would save so much money in the long run. Sometimes those screens can be really expensive and sometimes it's hard to find just what you want. I definitely plan on getting one of those. Thanks for sharing!
You should reconsider. The size of screen you can make with this machine is limited. Not to mention it needs power (electric I suppose) to run it. That is additional cost over the cost of the machine. There are other approaches/tecniques you can learn to make successful photoemulsion silkscreens. One is using direct/indirect sunlight as UV light source and it is FREE.
I’ve just bought a screen sensation pack from a car boot, it’s got the squeegee part missing but I think everything else is there. Have you any videos on how to go from the actual start to absolute finish? I have no idea what I’m doing lol.
There is other video's on the MYOS machine which shows it working a lot better she did not follow instructions, but for something like this you would need something like the Newman roller frames I believe.
Basically it makes a stencil with your custom artwork: It bakes the photo emulsion (the purple stuff) into the sheet everywhere _except_ where the black ink from the transparency blocked the light. Now you can wash away the emulsion that was under the ink, leaving "holes" in the shape of your design. Next you squeegee ink through the open portion of the screen onto paper, a t-shirt, or whatever.
Just look at your T-shirt! How is the print on there created you think? It's called screen printing. look it up. She shows how to make a "screen" (template) yourself
@@kauboy9816 A UV lamp. Probably 365nm . Basically the same wavelength used for curing fingernail polish. Undoubtedly fairly high intensity and concentrated on one line which is why you need to pass the plate under it at a constant, set speed. Not a bad design if you really must have it in a few seconds. If you have a bit more patience, sunshine would do.
Bought individually it’s about £10 per screen. Packs of 10 work out cheaper, but are rarely in stock. The screens are designed to be taped into the Screen Sensation unit which is also sold by Create and Craft.
I don't know. To me it seems much easier to burn the screens the old fashioned way. Coat them, store them for later, then take one out when you need it, lay the design on it, put it in the sun for two or three minutes, wash it off. much faster.
This is cool and all but to do multiple colors and adjusting the image on the same location on such a small place would cause problems and that's not even taking into account the fact that you would need special frames for the machine or place your going to use it on. This is a great idea but you would need to build your machines around that instead of being versatile
Light sensitive screen emulsion application and washout is easy the traditional way. why would you want to pay a fortune for this? I found the hard part was making the acetate of the design. In the end i used to go to a friend who is a commercial printer and get him to make them for a few pounds each.
УФ лампа с моторчиком за 500 баксов. Их расходники- сетка с эмульсией, невозможно натянуть на раму, всё равно выводить фотошаблон. Вывод - мусор для поштучных рукодельщиков.
I have made negative with laser printer, but as I know, you can make negative with inkjet printer also. Before I have used other way to expose mesh, with this machine to easy to get good design on mesh.
