Holy heck! Talk about pricing people out of the market! 2 mic setup - 1x Beringer umc202hd audio interface £50-55, 2x behringer xm8500 microphones £15 each, couple of mic stands £5-10 each. The 202 is USB powered so all you need is a basic laptop with Audacity (free software) to record and provide power. The 202 will also provide phantom power if you want to use condenser mics. So the kit above, less than £100, and its all good entry level kit, see it's RU-vid reviews. Even if you need to buy a basic laptop a suitable basic one will only run you another £100 second hand, so you are still running at HALF THE PRICE of their basic set up. AND, it will all fit in a shoulder bag, so totally portable. Sheesh!!!
Thanks for the comment. That setup would definitely work, and it's a very affordable way to start. The purpose of this video wasn't to suggest the most inexpensive way to start, it was to suggest some professional quality gear that will stand the test of time. Nice to have some cheaper options here though. Thanks for sharing. -Randy
