Make your Spark 40 truly portable with this battery mod and make it even more cordless with Joyo wireless transmitters.
*UPDATE: If you want a much better set of wireless transmitter/receiver, purchase this set instead of the Joy's in the video. These Lekatos are much better, have a better range and charge with USB-C: amzn.to/3PpP3ay
TalentCell Lithium ion Battery Pack NB7101 - amzn.to/3KvAReg
The Vapor Trail Channel - / vaportrailchannel
There are no paid promotions in this video. All products were bought out of my own pocket.

@@peteryelverton2954 The black battery (which I put the magnets on) tended to discharge more if I left it plugged into the spark. It quickly got to where it would not fully charge after I installed the magnets. One thing to consider, the power checking indicator sometime would stay on if I didn't be sure to turn it off. The manufacturer has probably fixed this problem by now. The second time, I bought the white version of the talentcell. It works great! I don't notice any static drain. I didn't install the magnets in it.
@AlitaBeyay
@AlitaBeyay Год назад
I have done some research and I don't say this to negate your real world experience. But science suggests there may be a more likely different reason your battery lost half its capacity. Supposedly magnets can't harm a lithium battery. I still didn't use magnets because they are not strong enough to dependably keep this battery attached. at least not to a slick metal plate. Its possible a neodymium attached to a neodymium could do the trick.

I've never tried playing at full volume. Now I must try and hope it doesn't damage the speakers. 😆I've got way more hours out of it than 1.36 on many occasions and that includes playing music though the bluetooth. I supposed that could be another factor in battery drainage.

I have another important insight into this battery. I made the mistake of thinking I received a defective battery as well. Don't send your battery back when it appears to not be charged or charging. The indicator lights do not display until you press the small. hard to see button on the light gray side panel. Its adjacent to the indicator lights. Suddenly you will see your battery is already fully charged and working. I am sure most of these returned batteries were working just fine all along. Its the first time I have seen a battery indicator light that did not tell you the progress of the charge while it was charging.

But if you already have the 40, why downgrade to something with less power for $229 when you can buy a battery for it for a fraction of the price?

Gamechanger. I’m a Fender tube guy, but took a gamble on the Spark and 😍…except I couldn’t play it by my lake. Yes, one could buy the Mini, but then you lose a perfectly capable rehearsal and backup gigging amp when needed. Also love the Joyos…sharp looking.

The Joyos are sharp looking but even sharper is the Swiff, which use 900Mhz switchable frequency transmission, which is more reliable because its not competing with 2.4 and 5G. And it boasts 170 foot range for the same price. According to Scott Uhl who did 3 extensive comparisons of wireless guitar units this is his number one pick. The bright green glowing circle on the Swiff is super sexy looking. Scott says the Swiff is suitable for gigging.

I know I'm asking a stupid question here, but you have no problem with the regular power adapter? If not, maybe you have the wrong cable from the battery to the amp?
@bradfuller84
@bradfuller84 9 месяцев назад
@@Guitarnivore regular adapter works fine. I plug it into the DC2 out into the amp and it doesn't power on either. It works for the DC1 in but not out.
@Guitarnivore

@@bradfuller84 Hmm. And you're just using the single cable with no adapters on it. The one with the yellow end going into the DC2 out and the other black end into the amp? DC1 in is only for charging the battery.
@bradfuller84
@bradfuller84 9 месяцев назад
@@Guitarnivore yup. For some reason the DC1 port powers the amp but no sound. DC2 doesn't power on the amp at all. I have a cable that has two black ends that go into DC1 into the amp and that works. Just no sound.
@Guitarnivore
@Guitarnivore 9 месяцев назад
You should have one with a yellow tip on the small end for DC2 and the other black end goes to the amp. I wonder if the cables you have are not what you're supposed to have. If DC1 is powering on the amp, it may not be providing enough power. It just might be backflowing just enough to power it, whereas DC2 is the 19v. I would try do a return/refund and getting a new set.
