@@duckyobrien I couldnt get mgs and jackie chan stuntmaster to work, while other roms are working. Is it the rom or something else I could be missing ?
@@V1TOCHIN For MGS I had to load individual disc images instead of the m3u file after I start the emulator. I don't know why but MGS didn't work normally for me either. It looks like Stuntmaster is a single disc game but you could try loading it from the menu after starting the emulator as well. If that doesn't work, it could be some sort of incompatibility issue, protection scheme, bad rip, or corrupted file. I'll get a rom dump and take a look at it myself and report back.
@V1TOCHIN Alrighty, I checked out both the American and European versions of Jackie Chan Stuntmaster on the standalone app. They both seemed to run ok but the American version definitely had more slowdowns. They were both in .bin and .cue files tho, not .chd so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. It's possible you could have a bad rom. edit: Or it could just be incompatible with this version of the emulator.
Seems like battery life is not that much different, at least for me. Fully charged my Miyoo Mini Plus, ran Spyro Year of the Dragon on my overclocked standalone app and left it idling for 4 hours. Went from full to 62%. WiFi turned off, brightness at 3, volume at 2, no headphones. Device was slightly warm at the end of the 4 hours. It was pretty cool at 2 hours. If I were actually playing the game it would probably drain at a slightly faster rate but this is inline with my experience with the battery life so far. Hope that helps.
Which version of Onion OS are you using? I'm on 4.3. The earlier versions may not have enhanced 3D option nor the standalone PCSX ReARMed app. Other than that, I have no idea what could cause that.
Hmmm that is a bit hard to say. In my experience the only thing you can really do is overclock the Miyoo for DS games and then DS games will run just a tiny bit better. The MMP lacks the power to turn on enhanced 3D graphics on Drastic, at least as of now. You can set Drastic to overclock by editing the launch.sh file in SD:\Emu\NDS (make a backup before editing). There's a bit of code: if [ "$CUST_CPUCLOCK" == "1" ]; then cpuclock 1500 fi I changed cpuclock to 1800 for the Miyoo Mini Plus and 1600 for the OG Miyoo Mini.
Nice one man, glad you did a video about this 👍🏻. Hey do you know if it's possible to save the game config for each game in the standalone pcsx, every time I save the settings for a game it creates a .cfg file for it, but it won't load that config when you restart the game. Only "Save global config" seems to work.
@@duckyobrien Hey man, apreciate it. I just realized by messing around that the config save only applies to the loaded game when you choose the game file from "Load CD Image" option in the menu, but for some reason it won't work if you choose the game the usual way from the main list when you start the Emu which is what I have been doing untill now. Who knows what is going on, if you figure it out let me know, untill then I will just load the game from the menu options 😅
@@poethefallen1333 Yo I was just about to write this but yeah, I found that out too. I'm not sure if this is fixable through config/shell files. I'll take a look into the source code to see if I can learn anything about how the game is loaded but this is probably going to be beyond my skill set.
@@Danieldot2K Thanks for replying and letting me know. Yooo 15 minutes is abnormally low though! That sounds like a defective battery possibly. Do you get better play times with other games/systems?
