My Favourite Top 10 Amiga games 

It’s probably 30 years since I played Lotus Turbo Challenge but I remember the level code for the fog level is “Pea Soup”.

Some great choices mate, most would definitely be in my top 50 Hard to pick ten but I think I would go with... Simon the sorcerer Lemmings Settlers Megalomania Ruff n tumble Stuntcar racer Wings Swiv Monkey Island Eye of the beholder 2.

Turrican and Superfrog was fantastic!

Great video mate. Me and my mates bought a Amiga just for sensible soccer! The memories i have of that game will always be with me. I played a few other games that you mentioned in this list but the Amiga will go hand in hand with sensi soccer for me!

Usually Arcade = God, at that time. The most important reference was Football Champ (Arcade) so for Amiga the number 1 is: European Football Champ.

Shadow of the Beast 1-3 ,Rainbow Island-The Story of Bubble Bubble 2 , Xenon 2 The Megablast, Rock´n Roll, Eye of the Beholder, Test Drive 2-The Duel, und for sure all Lemmings Game,

Some belters on this list Paul. I've only played Top Gear 2 on the SNES but looks good on the Amiga, great game I always felt Lotus 2 is let down by no music, if only it sounded like the original. Have a great weekend mate 👍✌️

Desert strike was my favourite on my Atari Lynx 👌👌

It's 2024, I want MORE lemmings, I had the originals on the Master System & Gameboy, then my friend had it on the Amiga which was the way to play.

I remember playing some of these on my mates amiga years ago paul mate he had a amiga while i had a megadrive at the time. Your list had some classics such as lemmings but i cant believe sunderland were in the premiership on sensible soccer at the time 🤣

Interesting to see Top Gear 2 in there. Not many people would have placed that in their Top 10. The others are Amiga staples, and are what people would expect to see. I was never keen on Zool to be honest. Prefer the original Lotus over the sequel. Lemmings and Cannon Fodder are both incredible titles. 😍

some mint games in that list, SWOS was incredible, as was Lotus turbo challenge (and all the ones you mention) however.... Kick Off 2, Stunt car racer and Elite would pip all of them for me personally and speedball 2 would have to go in my top 10 somewhere. However you rate them however, what a home computer the amiga was back in the day, and a damn shame that commodore didnt really evolve it at the time (I was one of the saps who bought a CD32 which was a total waste of cash considering that by then i also had an A1200 with a whopping 80mb HDD - which was also too little too late imo). I am surprised you rated top gear 2 higher than Crazy Cars 3 (/Lambo American challenge) however

In my opinion, there are still a few titles missing - The Settlers-Alien Breed: Tower Assault-Jim Power-Moonstone-Shadow Of The Beast 1-2-3-Toki-Turrican 1-2-3-Pinball Dreams-Superfrog-Benefactor-Warzone-Swiv-and there was much more 🕹🕹🎮🎮👍👍

Some absolutely amazing looking games there, those tunes on lotus challenge almost had me up dancing Paul buddy 🤣 chaos engine and cannon fodder look great and really interest me.... don't shout at me but I've never played on any amiga at all and when I see footage and hear peoples memories it makes me realise I defo missed out bud.... I wonder if Sunderland will get back to the promised land 🤣

Solid list overall. Of course everyone has different tastes.

A friend had two Amigas linked with a null-modem cable and that allowed us to experience _Lotus Turbo Challenge 2_ with three- and four-player simultaneous multiplayer. I also understand from what someone told me earlier this year (2022) that you could even link an Amiga and Atari ST in this way and do that same type of multiplayer (but obviously the ST owner would have to have the ST version of _Lotus Turbo Challenge 2_ as well).

I had all of those games on my Amiga 600! Cannon Fodder was one of my favourite. And of course X-copy!!

Was always envious of the Amiga being an Atari ST user!! The fun me and my brothers had playing Kick Off 2, brilliant game, pity the Atari version had no semi circle in the middle of the pitch and no nets in the goals which really annoyed me!! Turrican 1 and 2 were memorable as well.

Missed a whole bunch of games there , wings , lost patrol ,pirates , silent service2 , knights of the sky to name a few but we all have our favourites 👍

god knows how many joysticks i broke when trying to shoot to spin the ball while playing sensible soccer :) or how many joysticks i threw to wall when i missed a perfect chance to score lol

One thing I noticed. Is that Brits always have Zool on their list. Why it is not Giana Sisters is a great question. But it may be a British thing. Never the less a nice list. Cannon fodder is a great game. Personally I also like Lotus-II.

I’ve never played Top Gear 2 , but the other 9 I agree are brilliant games. I can never cut my top list down to 10 , so here comes my top 10 with 30 games: 1. Black crypt 2. Alien breed 3. Moonstone 4. Wings 5. Space hulk 6. Hero quest 7. Space crusade 8. Eye of the beholder 9. Dungeon master 10. Escape from Colditz 11. Dylan dog 12. Wing commander 13. Syndicate 14. Murder 15. Sim city 16. Pirates 17. Speedball II 18. Dune 19. Frontier 20. Legends of valour 21. It came from the desert 22. Heimdall 23. Pinball dreams 24. Team Yankee 25. Battlehawks 1942 26. Stunt car racer 27. Grand prix 28. Knights of the sky 29. Another world 30. Citadel I could easily add 20-25 , but these are the ones I refuse to cut out. Sequels are of course included. That goes without saying. Call me an idiot , I don’t care. These stays on !!! I’ll let myself out.

Can‘t do a ranking, but what i liked and played a lot are: Strider, Apydia, Quick N‘Silva, Turbo Outrun, Crazy Sue, Simon The Sorcerer, Monkey Island, Ghouls N‘Ghosts, Goblins 1 + 2 and many more 😂

I’ve owned cannon fodder on the mega drive for decades but could never get further than maybe the third level? Nice list! I should really try Zool!

i loved my amiga 500+ my best games were fate gates of dawn,dungeon master,eotb 1+2,hunter,legends of valor the list is endless ❤

Of Course Cannon Fodder... Dune n' Monkey Island... The First : FLASHBACK of Course 😊

My favourites: Xenon II, Batman the Movie, EOB 1 & 2 (EOB 3 was terrible), Wizball (what a game), The Settlers (but you needed an A1200 with extra RAM for big maps), Frontier (again an A1200 with extra RAM and accelerated), Stunt Car Racer, Lemmings (all of them before Lemmings 2), Desert Strike (though I never finished this one), Ghosts and Goblins (not Ghouls and Ghosts), F/A-18 Interceptor, Another World, Flashback (which felt like a sequel to Another World, same controls, same character animation), Llamatron, Pinball Fantasies (Party Land and Stones 'n Bones), Syndicate, Paradroid 90, North & South (yeeha), PGA Tour Golf and its expansions, SimCity, Shadow of the Beast (for a while before it beat your ass), Supremacy, Nebulus (sometimes), The New Zealand Story, Datastorm (so fast paced), and many others I don't remember the names of.

And now, you can check the new Amiga games of the latest 10 years.

I agree. All time best football game is Sensible Soccer 2.

Still my most favourite machine in the world even to this day, nothing came close, you can't really say top 10 amiga games, as there are way too many of them, top 1000 maybe, current gen you could do top 10 easy, but not Amiga, the only computer in the world where you get excited to put the disc in and waiting on what mind blown melody track awaits you, and what cool pixel art is gonna make your eyes open wide, 16bit is king, only Amiga makes it possible..

If only they'd have made Out Run like Lotus Turbo Espirit Challenge 2

The Mega Drive version of Desert Strike was better than the Amiga 500 version. The Sega version had smoother gameplay & I remember being impressed with it being a 16 bit game! Seeing the Amiga port of the game looks awful, the stuttering of frame rates puts me off games. I would rather have lower screen resolution with a smooth frame rate over a higher screen resolution with a stuttering frame rate any day!

Stunt Car Racer needs to be on there, Vroom, indy 500, shadow of the beast (reason I first got an Amiga), Barbarian C64 remake with its awesome 2 player decaptation bouts, International Karate plus........ oh so many memories. New Zealand Story, Wings, Another World.... And oh Jesus North and South, I spent so much of my young life on that.
