Hey!✨
This is my new video showcasing my 8 favourite tips for making lineart.
The lineart is one of the most important parts for my stylized anime illustrations. So I wanted to share my methods and tips with you. I hope it provides some sort of help!
These tips come from someone who isn't able to work clean. I wanted to show that you don't need godlike skills and a calm hand to make an effective lineart for your illustrations :)
Note that these are tips based on my art style, so of course these rules aren't universal, but they help me in this process^^

i was sooo looking forward for a lineart video, looks like you read my mind !! i always learn something new from you and i think ive been seeing improvements in my art because of that :D there’s a couple things that i still find troubling for me, which is different poses and proportions for faces and anatomy in general. i’d love to see how you personally approach this when making your art :D thank you sm as always, and, please allow yourself breaks too!! i hope you have a good day 🥰

Hello Kuroshiro! I just have to say, your art is a big inspiration of mine. I absolutely love it, both your tutorials and your art are outstanding. However, I’ve been struggling on both eyes in general and facial anatomy. I want to make art like you do, but I always feel stuck on those aspects. Could you please- if you can, make a tutorial on how you’ve grasped your facial anatomy/how you make eyes like you do? I really appreciate your hard work. I’ll be looking forward to another upload of yours!

Deeply appreciate how detailed your tips are, as I feel like it answered questions about my art that I didn't even know I had. Honkai star rail too? That’s neat I didn’t really need this because I don’t draw lineart, but I like the tip of not making lineart too refined. Lineart used to be the process that took wayyy to much of my time so I thought I’d just delete from ever being done lol. I don’t know anything about pressure sensitivity, line weight the like before watching this video but it seems to make your art look better, I should try it someday 😂 Also where on earth do you find your references man I don’t see those everyday on Pinterest (ಥ_ಥ)
@kurohshiro
@kurohshiro Год назад
Yeah..I joined the hype haha Right, it might not be the case for all people. Like some styles are heavily based on a sharp and strong lineart. But I like it to blend in with the illustration, but is still visible. And I try my best to avoid time consuming stuff haha I fed my pinterest algo for over 4 years, so it knows what I want to see. But once you start finding one good ref you will find more and more. Actually I might do a video on how to find nice refs^^ But looking for 'sukajan' 'japanese modern fashion' 'japanese tech wear' and stuff like this will lead you to the right things :)

gotta say your tips for lineart are great, but i realised that having the lineart at lower opacity allows the colours to go in the lines during the colouring phase which makes it harder to colour and makes the lines look ugly when multiple colours go in, is there any way to avoid this?
