In this video we will be talking about The 7 ways to manage time from the teachings of Immanuel Kant. Kant. Immanuel Kant is considered to be one of the central Enlightenment thinkers of all time. His philosophy is called Kantianism.
So here are 7 time management tips from Immanuel Kant -
01. Organize yourself
02. Follow through
03. Follow universal principles in your daily activities
04. Schedule time for developing your skills
05. Make time for the small things
06. Make time for your other duties
07. Make time for moral self-development
Hope you enjoyed this video and find these insights on time management from Immanuel Kant helpful.
Immanuel Kant lived in the 18th century and is considered to be one of the greatest German philosophers and one of the central Enlightenment thinkers of all time. His philosophical revolution was to place the human at the center of the philosophical study of knowledge, morality, and beauty. He deeply believed that reason is the root of morality. His thoughts on the relationship between reason and human experience led to the notion of “procedural humanism” or “Kantian humanism”.
The work of Immanuel Kant is still relevant today as the humanistic values of Western culture are deeply influenced by the Kantian moral philosophy. His philosophy is called Kantianism
The fundamental idea of Kant’s “critical philosophy” - especially in his three Critiques: the Critique of Pure Reason (1781, 1787), the Critique of Practical Reason (1788), and the Critique of the Power of Judgment (1790) - is human autonomy. He argues that human understanding is the source of the general laws of nature that structure all our experience; and that human reason gives itself the moral law, which is our basis for belief in God, freedom, and immortality.

1. Organize yourself. "Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life" 2. Follow through. Have discipline. Parent yourself. Reward yourself. 3. Follow universal principles. Use reasoning. Ask yourself "if everyone does what I do, would it be a better world?" 4. Schedule time for developing your skills. 5. Make time for the small things. Talking to friends, walking in the park, enjoying social activities. 6. Make time for your other duties. Behaving nice only when we feel like is morally wrong. 7. Make time for moral self-development. What can I know? What should I do? What can I hope for?

We can thank Immanuel Kant for his disciplined effort to bring upon today's world a sense of harmony that I can't appreciate enough. I encourage everyone to keep learning and bring upon the best versions of themselves and help others in needs, so we can make our world better for us and for the newer generations. Let us all learn and teach each other and constantly improve and embrace failures with an open heart, a life of wisdom and joy for everyone.

Kant just had Autism Spectrum Disorder also known as Asperger's and this is how many people with that trait like to organize their lives, they love routine and hate novelty. Kant never left Koningsberg his entire life and would take the exact same walk every day rain or shine. To him I'm sure it was comforting and enjoyable, but to many people this would be torture.

This video is really very good and actually I am organising my life in a similar structured way as Immanuel Kant, without having been aware of it before. My favourite imperative is “So act that your principle of action might safely be made a law for the whole world”. This is why I have a solid rational reason for doing good things like engaging in environmental protection policies. Moreover I do my daily routine exercises every morning and cook my own fresh vegetables every day instead of gossiping at work. I also totally agree that aesthetic judgement follows from model judgement and that we have the duty also to take care of our families. This is why I visited my sister last weekend after she had had a little heart surgery. Finally I enjoy to learn from other cultures and that’s why I hate narrow minded people.

This is a really a pile of good work done by Kant only through good time management for benefit of human society. If you go through the vdo 3 four times and think many more times as regards importance of each section then one can realise what's a precious life on earth suppose to be here like that of Kant's. He will continue to influence.

As a German, 67 years of age, I have been following Kant's example to some extent since my time in primary school. Although Prussian discipline has been exploited many times in history, I particularly like Kant's concept of the "categorical imperative", as we call it in German: 'behave as you want all other people around you to behave.' If you torture someone by waterboarding, don't blame your enemy when he takes similar action to you.

(Extract taken from A Philosophy of Walking by Frédéric Gros.) Müller I have, in any case, a troubled relationship to Kant, because at age ten I read Kant for the first time - my father had that lying around - it was the Metaphysics of Morals. And naturally the first chapter I read was the one on onanism. And that disturbed me deeply, because he considered it completely reprehensible and in every respect the worst and the most undignified thing that exists . . . Kluge What's his argument for that? Müller It's against the laws of nature, against God's will . . . Kluge If nature has given human beings the power to procreate, then it's reprehensible not to use it. Müller Exactly, that troubled me deeply at that time. And then I was so happy when, years later, I read an anecdote to the effect that Kant supposedly masturbated once a week, or even more often, on the same oak tree in the park where he always took his walks. That reassured me. And from then on I was no longer very interested in Kant. Kluge He had been refuted. Müller He had been refuted, yes.
@garrycraigpowell
@garrycraigpowell 3 года назад
On the whole, a very good summary of Kant's ethics, and quite cleverly contextualised for the modern person too, in circumstances Kant would never have dreamed of, and which, on the whole, would probably have horrified him. I do wonder what the mindless music adds, though? It's just a background noise, isn't it? Not really music at all. Consider what Kant would have said about our need to have a ceaseless quasi-musical background going on all the time. Either music is worth listening to, with all your attention--which is definitely not the case here--or else it's better if we just concentrate on the words spoken. Otherwise that sentimental, bland noise just distracts us.

The basic reason for further energising humanity should be to enrich yourself within and without the interaction of others, you upon them and they upon you. This does not mean authority over one or the other, but lends itself to the idea of humanity itself. The categorical imperative is poorly understood by man, but once, if ever realised, it would easily become the primary principle to a better future for humanity. Do not be deluded by the false imperative. You must recall and understand the various reasons behind concepts such as duty, obligation, responsibility, liability, or burden as viewed by the subject. To discount such ideas are falsifiable delusions and as such worthless. Thankyou for your post.

@@romankohli5919 When you meditate, do you focus on a singular thought? or try to let go of all thought completely? I have pretty bad ADHD but refuse to see a doctor that will just prescribe me drugs for it. I believe such a "disease" can be cured by self discipline and training my mind. I heard meditation is great in helping to do so.

@@scrubfive9239 I try to mainly focus on my breath - my best friend has ADHD and I know meditation helps him a lot. The mind will get diverted from time to time and that is the case for me too but every time you notice your mind going elsewhere, just gently bring it back and focus on the breath again bro

Don't watch programs that are not going to promote your growth. That's why I don't go on social media anymore. What a waste of valuable time. Looking at superficial people, who are all about what is on the outside. It truly becomes unappealing to you, when your soul wants more. Happiness, contentment, and serenity, are about going INSIDE..not OUTSIDE. Life is beautiful. The little things mean everything. Take the time. This is just a small part of what I'm learning on this journey. 🥰🥰🥰
