How To Maneuver a Twin Engine Boat for Docking and Look Cool | Bali 45 

Do you dread docking your boat after a long day out on the water? Captain David demonstrates how to maneuver a twin engine boat to prepare for docking. The boat featured in the video is a Bali 45 Catamaran but the principles applied are the same to a power boat. One propeller pushes forward while the other one is pulling backwards which turns the boat to starboard. The opposite is also true when turning the boat to port. Some key takeaway docking tips is to maneuver your boat using throttles only and stay off the wheel. Do not be that one guy in the marina looking forwards as you maneuver the boat backwards! You can still properly maneuver the boat using the throttles while turning your body to face backwards.
