hello, can you use this technique for p/leather? all the p/leather paint I use is water based acrylic, so i wonder if i could just do the cornstarch water or if it was necessary to coat the p/leather with Alum as well.
Hey love the video!! I am using acrylic color of a famous brand but my colors are not this prominent and bright. They are very dull. I tried to look for solutions, cudnt find. Please help!! :))))
@@justchillin6735 i guess u can add water to it ive done it a few times before (adding water to cornstarch) and it looks kind of like in the video. this is what i think i could be wrong tho.
Is this the same mixture they're using for "body marbling"? cornstarch to make the water heavier than the paint? No one is willing to give up their "secret". Hope someone can help me unlock the secret.
I know! I've been looking like crazy, but Im gonna do some experimentation and see if acrylic paint, oils, spray or nail polish works best. I know some paint cracks on the skin, I'll be revealing the secret soon :P
Aren't the amounts of cornstarch and alum important? You don't mention any ratios on your video of cornstarch to water or alum to water. Can you help me?
I tried this today and found my cornstarch (after it was cool) to be terribly thick. I thinned it a little. Do you have to start over after the paint saturates the cornstarch? I wanted to use different colors so I tried using newspaper to blot up the excess, didn't work. Then I tried adding black so I had a black background and started again with different colors. The black didn't show up at all. I had watched an Indian man start with solid black water and added colors and it turned out beautiful but mine didn't work. I signed up to your site but wasn't able to log in so I couldn't leave a comment. I appreciate any assistance as I wasted a lot of paint today. Thank you
Do you have a thought out how to do this. It’s about one of the first thing you do when you’re doing a RU-vid video. I suppose if you’ve done other marbleizing you can catch on but for those of us who haven’t it’s really stupid and makes you angry terrible terrible video
from what im reading online (finding out what alum is, why added, where to get) it helps the pigments stick and makes it more vibrant. id still do it since theres lots of water involved and that will dilute the paint. that also being said, i see it mentioned more proiminantly whenever the person in question is using ink compared to using say acrylics
+Aaron Angeles Alum makes the paint stick, cornstarch make the water thicker so paint floats better. I do this with just water and nail polish to marble paper. you don't need alum or corn starch.
Buenas tardes me gusto el vídeo, pero no menciona la cantidad de aluminio y tampoco si la preparación de la maicena, si contiene limón o no. Tampoco las cantidades ni el tipo de pinturas.
Hello .. I wanna ask a question ! What is we don't get alum ? Then which type of paper can we use?! Hope u reply soon 😊 N I really liked ur video .. Hope u post another video of real water marblings soon 😍👍
Nuba Hashem you can use printer paper, watercolor paper, or almost any kind of paper - each will have a different response to the marbling and you can experiment to determine which one you like best. The alum helps the paint adhere to the paper and is an important step! Have fun!
Hi Sara, you can buy alum on amazon or at a grocery store. It's a pickling agent. You can also sit tight and buy the marbling kit on our website: www.forthemakers.com
the small depth of field is a trendy effect - but some of the camera angles obscure what she is doing. Suggestion , try to capture the process, less stylistic influence please.
So it’s a secret to try to screw up my abilities my tricep dips? Do you use 5 cups of corn starch how long do you keep it on the stove to get it hot what’s supposed to look like? Why are you doing this RU-vid video other than to make me fail. Unless of course you said at the very end to be a surprise
