@chaotic Queenx I know what you mean. I discovered a solution for it. What I do is in custom games, setting the mutator settings on game speed slow-mo and/or gravity on low. Than its better to see what movements your car are making, and what you should do on the point it often goes wrong ;)

Idk if anyone is gonna read this, but im writing it anyways: I havent really seen any youtuber talk about this, but i'm currently learning directional air roll and i got 1 major tipp. If you are on PC you can use bakkes mod to slow down the game speed (in freeplay only ofc) .... i have 4 speeds i use, 0.25x 0.5x 0.75x and 1x ... i used the 0.25 to learn the most basic aerial spinning, only steering when my hood is facing me (the camera)... when i got a few stages on lethamyrs rings map with this, i moved up the speed to 0.5, and so on.... after that, i did the same with when the underside of my car was facing the cam.... then you can also do the sides if you want, i should have done it probably, but didnt want to :D then i tried to constantly steer in 0.25x speed.. dont matter which face is facing me, putting it all together... thats the stage im currently in... i still often blackout, but this will come over time. hope i could help anyone with that... that really helped me understand the movements. ofc you can also do this for dribbling, flicks, airdribbles... but be careful, the car movement speed is hard to judge when in slower gamespeed, so it might not be the best for some situations to learn it that way

One thing that helped me although I'm still practicing is this: Move with the ball and not against it after that first touch in the aerial. In other words allow the momentum to carry you through the air with the ball. This is the time for fine control, your time to think, rolling or pulling up and whatnot to line up the touch. There is very little boosting if any at this point. When you see players looking all flashy with air rolls here that's what they're doing. They're getting their car positioned in a way that allows them to be in control for the touch, not fighting to be closer to the ball.

Seems I've been naturally on a good path, I've been consistently forcing myself to air-roll every time I go up for a ball, regardless of the shot. I've been finding myself hitting some crazy shots like 10% of the time, and missing terribly the other 90%, but hey, that's progress! A friend of mine also told me once to do the goal to goal training on freeplay, I didn't follow it that time cause I wasn't all about aerials yet, definitely gonna start doing it now!

I seriously don't know how you do it, but you somehow make it so everything makes sense. I didn't really follow along with the training, but just started air rolling around in training, trying to figure out where my car went with different inputs. Then I started to figure it out and started piecing together all the dots, and it just like clicked. It's really a surreal feeling, just having it click for the first time, now knowing what I actually have to do. I'm definitely following this training routine to get better at this. Thank you my man

@@Shit_tits_FC so I've had some crazy shit goin on for a while so I haven't been playing it that much. But with the time I actually took practicing it, it felt like trying to learn to juggle. It's so confusing and difficult to time moving your thumb with the rotations. But I guess it just comes down to constant practice and muscle memory. I managed to get a bit of it down barley. The wall is my biggest struggle in the game .. Whether it's reading corner bounces or just trying to pick a ball off the wall .. Everything just takes on a slightly different POV than on the ground and that adjustment is so hard to make .. Also trying to jump for a ball off the wall seems impossible

QOTD: I’d say one of my hardest spots to understand is adapting to people’s play styles. Being able to go from one aggressive teammate to one very passive makes it hard especially in platinum where I’m also making a million mistakes.

When I was trying to climb out of Plat the first time, I found the best way to combat this is to default to a little more defensive to see how much ball chaser your team mate is, if he is relentless, focus on defense, cause even a bad player on the other side of the field ball chasing hard WILL eventually get a goal, and if not, the opponent will boot it to you and you have a chance at a nice long air shot

Tough to nail specifics down because the skill ceiling keeps going up. Getting from plat to diamond now is harder, different than how it was 6 months ago. Consistency is king tho.
@Goopa22
@Goopa22 3 года назад
@@jacobdavis7824 True True, The skill ceiling is spiraling up as you said mainly because of f2p because lets say if you started lets say October 2020 you should be plat1-3 depending on if you are consistent player.

QOTD: not getting tilted for having a teammate spamming what a save with 6 total points in a 5 min game... yes I am plat!
@Reaper-qo8tn
@Reaper-qo8tn 3 года назад
hey, sometimes the guy with less points is really playing significantly better. usually on the defensive. i just hit diamond 2 today, from plat 3, and i averaged 210 points per game, with mainly clears and assists. you taking a solo play is actually a huge disadvantage, unless you're already locked into it to buy your teammates time. Main 1s, too, because your mechanics are down if you're a plat, and by mechanics...i don't mean flip resets. i mean flicks, dribbles, and basic aerials. and...quite ironic that you say "not getting tilted" and phrase it in a way that only puts blame on your teammates. don't chase the ball. they will end up with more points, shots, saves, and so on. stop cutting your teammates off. be on the right part of the field. do better kickoffs. stop shooting shots that can be defended. fake them. pass to a teammate. you're at fault for losing, just as much as your teammates are. i've got less than 120 hours, but i've played sarpbc, grew up on racing games, and love physics games. the competitivity is why i play this game...and to be competitive, you have to get over yourself. your mistakes put your teammates in a bad position, just like theirs do to you. not worthy of qotd.

For me, the problem with adjusting while air rolling, is that my thought process goes like this: -See what direction my car is facing in the air roll -Think about which direction i should be pushing the joystick -Push the joystick that way But by the time i push the joystick, it’s already too late and the car is already in a different oriëntation. Anyone has any tips for this?

Honestly this is my biggest struggle too which is why muscle memory is so important because this process is what u need to do but u just have to keep practicing it so your at the point where u don’t even need to think about every detail and it just come out so I would say just keep practicing build that muscle memory
