I tune into a video that says I'm gonna see a charismatic person tell me how to be charismatic. Than I watch a guy who says he's not charismatic, tell me he's not charismatic until 4:30 in the video. You started your conversation by asking the dude a 2 minute long question. Ugh.

Sorry Dustin that this wasn't the quick actionable content you were looking for. The madness behind the longer form questions is to give the audience more of an insight to myself as the host, to build more of a relationship than what I we found is possible do with the shorter form "X ways to" sales articles we used to put out.

Don't get ahead of yourself. Everything in life starts small. Let the guest speak his mind on something by asking a leading question then you talk all that much so we have a perspective on what is going to happen. We care about the guest, not the host. You're not a star and we do not care. You are just the smart guy who brain picks the guests, or at least should be. I hope I wasn't to harsh on you, but I took the time to right this feedback for you. If you met Marcus then you are probably a great guy :)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not trying to be a star :). However, telling my back story, building a rapport with the audience and letting them into my life is what keeps people listening 3, 7, 33 shows in. That's the long game of the show and in 5 years time, when I don't do stupidly long intros because I'm more refined, the journey will be what has the audience hooked. I'm convinced of this otherwise I would start just asking the guests of their top X ways to X charisma and upload a 2 minute show. Works great for initial views, not so much over the long term.

+Salesman.Red I guess what I was getting at is that if you're in a sale, you don't ramble on for 4 minutes with the customer in front of you. The best talk show hosts, only talk for 4 minutes straight when they have something extremely valuable to say otherwise they're wasting the viewers time. It's okay to give us little bits of you everytime so we don't get bored, while you splash the different guests in our faces more. We tuned in to hear about charisma, from someone who knows about charisma. It's like if I went to a restaurant and the server talked about nothing for 5 minutes before they took my order. I want that steak and youre wasting my time, just give me what I want and I'll be happier. The way you're doing it, it's blatantly obvious you're trying to build your own persona using the videos. Which is fine, but personally I wouldn't want to do it how you just did. All I got out of that 4 minutes was that you suck at charisma but youre "good at picking up girls" which personally I'd have to see to believe at this point.

I've thought about this and you're right :). I'll try and get out of my own way in future recordings. Thanks for the feedback!
