tip for shooting with a shot creator, do a Hesi and pull it u don't take another dribble you get to use the 90-94 shot off dribble it kinda turns you into a cheeser from 2k15 if you get good at left and right crossovers to Hesi's but blame 2k for not giving us a 80 standing shot 3

You mentioned my exact thought process at around the 2:40 mark. The game is insanely inconsistent at times, but it takes it to a whole other level with floaters. 9/10 times my first attempt at a floater in a game will bounce off the rim - on a completely wide-open look following a fast break. Also, the animation takes so long to wind up, that you're bound to get blocked from behind if you're playing online. Forget hitting it if you're going to the paint and you got someone in front of you, more often than not you'll get that shit blocked, real easy too. Gold badge, HoF badge - don't matter, the floater is literally the worst shot in the game and should only ever be used for novelty reasons when you're way beyond the possibility of losing a game.

Good thing about my shot creator is that I've unlocked the "Catch & Shoot" badge , so I hit a lot of my set shots and shots while standing still.

You can just hit a couple dribble moves and shoot standing right away and it registers as off the dribble

I feel shot creators are the most versatile out of them all. we Can kill anyone of da dribble, stand still at most times, break ankles, POSTERIZE DF OUT PEOPLE, great layups, n all Det good shit

i noticed you're missing some shooting hotspots on your floor, that might be one of the reasons you're missing some of your attempts. Also, because of all the HOF badges the shot creator gets, you can sacrifice some of your shooting off dribble stats and mid-range shooting stats, and I would suggest not leaving post scoring empty like you showed, shot creators can be really good off the post spin technician. Also, you can still be a dynamo at the rim without maxed out layups and dunks. I found that this archetype can be one of the most dominant combo guard builds when you can vary your arsenal of ways to score, because this dude's badges will make you a good scorer off the dribble, regardless of how much you put into that stat, so having other options and go-to moves can make you that much more dangerous all-around

I always thought that the game still uses your midrange and 3 pt shooting attributes if you are moving. The difference is with high moving shot skills you aren't as negatively punished for doing a moving shot. If I am right then moving into a shot is still worse then taking a standing shot no matter how how much moving shot you have. The only thing that might be better is stepping into the shot (not running), which is realistic.

Yo im about to make a 6'4 shot creator. i compared 6'4 SG and 6'4 SF there stats are the same but will there still be a difference in the the two? wanna to SF maybe so i can match up on bigger players so i can cook them

What release is good for a shot creator?

my SG shot creator is 6'3 but his secondary position is sf, so half of the time I'm guarding guys that are 6'10

acrobat badges should have been a HOF badge instead of tear dropper because u are creating a open layup by moving the ball around your defender

spin jumpers are awesome, i got a SC and he is automatic with those spin jumpers. pro-am players dont know how to defend against it. lol I can hit 3s 40% and im i think 38 in 3pt. Once i get limitless range, corner specialist and max out the 3pt bars i can hit those 3s extremely well.

do shots after a dribble move using the right stick count as a shot off dribble? or are those only faders/pullups ?

All shot creators get corner specialist and catch and shoot and if your playing with a pg with dimer and know your release you make so many corner 3's its like your a sharpshooter.

Don't forget Ankle Breaker and Dimer. Basically you need to Score about 150 times with a Score off Double Moves. For Dimer (really important for ProAm, Shot Creator will have ball a lot) - Get an Assist off and Score off Double Move 150 times. Basically do a couple dribble Moves before any assist. I just drive with moves & got it that way

I'm a 6'9 SF Shot Creator (was creating a kevin Durant type player). I'm slower than a lot of creators but faster than most (PF/C) who guards me in mypark. In my park, I tend to dunk or layup easily against smaller defenders but which shot would you say is my go-to-shot against slower and bigger defenders?

I don't see many shot creators, and I don't really see any of them taking tear drops or spin jumpers like they're supposed to.

Next gen problems for 2k17. On another subject, stepbacks are effective and floaters are reliable but kind of a wild shot if not used at the right time.

So i dont have the free bonus because I didnt pre order the game, and that gave me a hard time on what to upgrade first because if I upgrade the shooting attribute (moving mid, standing short range, etc) I will have a whack dribbling and slow speed. If I upgrade agility then Ill have low shooting attributes and low dribble but fast character. So can someone give me a tip on what attribute should I upgrade first as a shot creator :D
