If you know how to actually execute dribble moves you do not need to speed boost. Speed boosting is a crutch for bad players.

All I do is pass to teammates who are open or post small guards up with my big ass playmaker. He got no 3, I refuse to speed boost and the job still gets done. 6'8 240 and he's out here

Lol everybody got it in their head that playmakers are better than shot creators and that shot creators are trash but shot creators can speed boost in the park and break ankles just like playmakers AND basically any pull up shot from mid range is in no matter the defense. I have a lockdown defender pg I love it clamp up point guards especially playmakers 89 lateral quickness 80+ strength can shoot pretty decently

I agree Waffleman, if you want to be an athletic scorer that can make difficult shots and create space anywhere on the court to get a shot off then a shot creator is the way to go BUT if you rather set other guys up, be fast as hell, and be able to a create your own shot using ankle breaker as well as shoot off the dribble fairly well (Not as good as shot creator) AND use that pick and roll maestro to the fullest to throw dimes or score yourself then a playmaker is the way to go. One more thing that hall of fame flashy passer is not useless. I thought the same thing Waffleman until I realized that the flashy passer badge is the FASTEST type of pass you can make in the game. Its a very direct and straight line pass that rarely gets tipped or intercepted if you know what your doing. I'm not saying its a game buster but it does give a small boost to a cutting player.

I feel like 6'4 and under a shot creator is better but 6'5 and taller a playmaker/point forwards are better.

Dimer does not boost but it leads the receiver in the best way. When you pass with dimer it throws the ball in a way the receiver gets the ball ready and open for a standing shot. This is especially ofcourse important for 3 point shots. Dimer actually passes the ball behind the line perfectly and also as far possible from a contest.

IMO the 6'4 shot creator is the best archetype for a PG. I have playmakers and all, but when it comes down to pure clutch shooting when you can get separation, shot creation is best. Figure the badges along with the already 94 max attribute shot off dribble. Boost added to all attributes. What they should've done was make tireless scorer and difficult shots into one single badge since you have to do the same stuff to acquire it. Just a different number. Make acrobat into shot creating. Everything else is fine. Ankle breaker, Difficult scorer (difficult and tireless), Acrobat, Mid Range, and your floaters. Momentum cross with boost. And everything is all good. Best PG archetype is the shot creator IMO. Passing isn't a skill, you just need to make the right pass. So IQ it is for ANY player. That's my take on it though. Definitely making a shot creator style player on 2k18. Hopefully they feature combo archetypes. PSN: KingMIL_

2k Straight shits on shot creators. Our shots "Off the dribble" Sucks ass. I understand the off dribble shot is more twards the fadeaways, spin jumpers and hop steps but we barely make those. Sharpshooters and playmakes make fadeaways from the 3 but shot creators cant. Our layups are the same number as playmakers but we cant make contact ones like they can.

What dimer does is in its description, it says it sets your teammates up in the perfect spot basically, what I assume is that if you pass to someone in the corner, they will catch the ball ready to shoot

I'm rollin with a 6'7 playmaker. Height makes the world of difference after the last patch. Shoot over people, can take it to the lane and passes get intercepted way less. And still have 94 on ball speed.

Basically, if you're a dribble god and can ISO make a playmaker. If you're not a good dribbler then make a speed boosting shot creator and do ryth dribbles behind screens to get open.

dimer is super good when you play with a 3pt shooting glass cleaner or ldd or something that can barely shoot 3s. I can green 3s (consistently) coming off of dimer with my lockdown defender

I have a 6'5 playmaker and 6'3 shot creator and I would have to say my playmaker is much more effective especially when I'm going against tryhards. But I play more with my shot creator when I'm playing 2s

Shot creators are the best

Lob City can be used really well if you have an Athletic Finisher, which is a pretty good archetype. Flashy passes are quicker than regular passes. And yes, dimer did give shooting boosts. Look at 2k14 and tell me what it says. Level 1- +2 to shooting.

I have a 95 shot creator 6'7 (my height irl) all my badges except ankle break hof, grand badge and he's a beast. I consistently score over 10 points in park. Best archetype on 2k

I like how everyone is saying all playmakers can do is dribble 23 seconds. So to represent playmakers you are using a very trash player so let's do the same for shot creators. All shot creators do is take contested shots and miss. See how unfair it is to say a archetype is trash based on trash people who use it

Even though playmakers 3 is higher.. sometimes it's not as consistent as a shot creater fading 3... but playmaker can score and they have speed. And in 2k speed really matters

6'8" Point Forward Max Wingspand and Should Width, 185 Weight, He a 87 Overall no badges and i score 10+ Points (not ball hoging) against ss1's easy. I cant wait till my point forward has all HoF and shooting badges and he a 95 Overall

Someone did a test on dimer and it raised percentages of jumpers even on bronze but not by much. But once it's on hall of fame it raises a lot

Playmakers are better. What do you mean flashy passer is useless? Try throwing a regular pass to the other corner and it's a slow floaty pass. Flashy passer lets me hit my shooters like a bullet for a wide open shot.

Dimer does give a boost. With my playmaker I was laggy and I popped it from three with my playmaker. My friend passed it to me and he has dimer. So it does work. I didn't even have a release and it's happened multiple times

Honestly every build has a weakness I hate when people say playmakers can do everything they almost can but one thing they lack is strength. strength means a lot and it's kinda overlooked when a playmaker is driving on my slasher or sf post scorer or any other of my builds with high strength they could never finish on me because of the lack of there strength. Playmaker is a great build tho don't get me wrong I honestly prefer the shot creator honestly yes they are a bit slower with the ball but if u know how to hoop and u have good teammates a shot creator with always fit in great helps if people also know how to give you clean picks. What gets me mad is everybody creates a playmaker and never ever playmake they just dribble for 15 secs and speedboost the whole game till they can get pass u which an be annoying honestly but everybody has there own opinion those are my 2 cents.

dimer gold and dimer hall of fame are very different (obviously). you have sharpshooters bricking because they think it gives them that much boost to where they can pull up in lockdown defenders faces. what dimer does is if you have a low three point percentage or low mid range percentage WIDE OPEN you will consistently hit these shots. lets take a slasher for example because i have one. my friend has dimer hall of fame and i can pull wide open from top of the key. even though i have a 60 standing three. Thats not Bs, thats what the badge is meant to do, i dont understand why you need to dime a sharp shooter but thats your call. Anyways i hope that clears up confusion.
