this bit of info was the only reason i came to this video lol specifically to see how you would use Yukong in a DoT team. knowing this you can have your Yukong act last so that her buff is active through all of the enemies turns and the first two turns of your next cycle. Probably better for Clara teams since a lot of her damage is dealt on the enemy's turn instead of her own and Clara can actually benefit from the crit buffs from Yukong

I think a point you should add, is that these DoTs just like buffs and debuffs in the game will only refresh the duration when applied again during the duration. This means that for example, serval applies shock with skill(2 turns) then ult before the enemy moves, extends it to (4 turns), if serval use skill again, the shock DoT will refresh back to 2 turns. I guess this is only important for Serval as she's the onlu one that can extend DoTs(for now)

Same I even got E1 Kafka by accident trying to get more sampo and luka dups just to find out they suck unless well built. So I just use her with Tingyun and Asta.

You missed one thing,the fact that f2p players exist and that the don't have Silver wolf,or her light cone,and are just f2p in general.But it's okay,actualy realy nice to see that Kafka is f2p friendly,and realy broken.👍
One cool way to expand DoT teams' elemental coverage would be to make an Ice Nihility character who can apply a unique ice DoT (in the same way erode is a unique lightning DoT), as well as having a freeze. Thus, they could add DoTs for Kafka to trigger, as well as strengthening the team's overall DoT damage by causing more triggers through freeze's AV boost.
No, someone that quantum dots enemies and gives kafka turn skip plus energy/dmg/speed boost. While healing or reducing dmg. Extra pop plus 1 char filling all roles needed a for multi dot comp.
Ya know what sucks, I've been getting God Rolls of Crit Rate and Crit Dmg Artifacts..but the ONE time I want ATK and effect rate it's avoiding me like the plague. Seeing these god-rolls on Artifacts I DON'T need them on is making me want to cry..
For me, i increased kafka Break effect and effect hit rate more than her crit. And atk% over lightning atk%, since her DoT based on her Attack, not her lightning attack. And thats it. And enemy just die. I dont really care about statistics in general. Since to me, if enemy ded, is ded.
For resistance penetration sources in the game you missed the 4 piece quantum relic set, against enemies weak to quantum, this makes it highly situational, but viable none the less
I actually didn't know Pela's LC works with DoTs too... I guess I'll replace my Kafka's Fermata and go for Pela's LC instead. Even though it's just S2, its damage multiplier is still higher than S5 Fermata.
Didn’t think I’d get Kafka but she came home at 18 pity 🥺 I already have sampo built so I think I’ll run her with him, luocha and maybe fire mc or jing yuan
i like to run a hypercarry kafa team where im using tingyun and asta + 1 healer. Asta passive at max lvl give you 60% atk bonus which let tingyu have more atk so you can buff more atk for kafka so she can hit like a trunk while have decent DOT. Easy MoC 10 btw
You forgot to mention the Preservation light cone that gives a DoT effect when enemies attack you. Whether or not it's good though I have no idea, but I wanted to try it out with the Fire MC
From personal use I find it very viable. Plus I like seeing all debuffs possible proc. Especially if you sampos sig which at s5 increases dot dmg by 50%
I thought the same thing, plus their niches expand and get more accesible/experimental when more characters that can fit in them get released (more dendro and hydro units for nilou, and more dot units for kafka)
I'm currently using Bronya to buff Kafka instead of Luka, (with Samo and Bailu), and I can get around 22k - 25k dmg with that comp (using Kafka's skill). Kafka isn't fully upgraded, still missing 2 levels of every trace, only her skill need only 1 upgrade left (at lvl 80). You guys think it's a good choice to use Bronya? Or Maybe using Luka I would get even more dmg via Kafka's skill? Btw I forgot to mention I'm using Herta's shop nihility light cone at superimposition 5, which gives me 40% more DoT after casting skill
DoTs of HSR are quite bad in general. Every reasonably challenging content enemy hits like a truck or does something bad in their turn. (e.g. SU bosses ramp damage over time. Or you have to clear Halls in least amount of turns.) So you naturally want to have as much turns for yourself(damage or recovery) and as few turns for enemy. DoTs make you go other direction but do not compensate enough for turns lost. Only time I had fun with dots was lucky full 22xNihility buffs run in SU. Tons of dots ramping over time and recovering you in a process. That was proper niche elite killer strategy. Otherwise there were never reason to use DoTs over pure damage. Kafka might have multipliers but still feels bad to play at high level. I mean play for results, not observe booty bay.
