Just completed your series on the Ruger American .22 rimfire rifle. Can't thank you enough for sharing your thoughts, insights and experiences with us. Above and beyond any presentation I've ever seen in dialing in one of these potentially great rifles. Thank you again, keep up the stellar work and I sure look forward to more of your presentations. 😎👍

Wow! Thank you so much for the kind compliments. I have many more videos planned; just need to retire so I have more time.

I have a question, what would it cost to have you assemble an FAL upper if I supply the parts? If I was to do this what receiver and barrel do you recommend? I have an older STG 58 lower that is 100% complete but looks a bit battered but is very usable. I own a like new Belgium FAL and would love to have a 16" metric/Belgium style rifle that I can shoot and enjoy without shooting my nice rifle. Any info would be helpful, thank you.

Hi Larry, I have to pass on FAL gunsmithing. However, I can recommend Arizona Response Systems and there is also a gunsmith in TX who goes by the handle of Sledgehammer on falfiles.com. I hope this helps.

You would get a more accurate measurement if you used the step faces of the calipers

In general, I agree with you. Using the step faces of the calipers allows you to feel then they are bottomed out and square to what you are measuring. Sometimes, it is a matter of which end gives you a better feel for the part you are measuring. Rewatching my video clip, I'm asking myself why I didn't measure with the other end, and I can't remember why. I'm sure I'll be measuring more chambers again soon, and then I may remember why I did it the way I did. Thanks for watching!
