Thanks for the informational video. Zs, 2s, whatever. She still told people that it'll end in R## so I fail to see what the issue is. People and their nit-picking.
Thanks for the video, I know nothing about tires, wheels and caps. So I went to youtube and found your video: now I know what size to order. Your video helped me out.
is there nimbers on the hubcaps? ive found so many in the junkyard but never find the measurements on it... i get the looking for the numbers on the tire. i understand. for someone like me who comes across hubcaps laying on the ground ive yet to find a rim measurement telling me its the correct size.
+Albert francis There are numbers on the back of some hubcaps, as far as helping your figure out the size though, they are very helpful. Normally we have our customers look at the tire size to determine the size of their hubcap but in this case, since you are finding them by themselves, there is another way. When you physically measure a hubcap with a measuring tape, they measure about an inch to an inch and a half bigger. So if you measure a random hubcap and it measure 17, it's a 16 and so on. There are not half sizes either, so if you measure a 16 1/2, chances are it's actually a 15. Hopefully this is helpful! -The Hubcaps.com Team
Generally, the physical measurement of hubcaps will come out 1" to 1 1/2" bigger than the rim it was made to fit. You may send us a photo to support@hubcaps.com so we can identify the cap and provide you with the correct size.
We appreciate that! Currently, we have the 2015 Versa hubcaps listed at 45.00 w/ Free Shipping! We look forward to working with you! -The Hubcaps.com Team
Thanks for the help, but I'm pretty sure after you clarified things you said, "Now, that R8 lets us know that we need an 18 inch hubcap on our vehicle." Didn't you mean R18? aha
What if you want to determine the size of a hubcap you've found. where there's no wheel to go with it? Waiting......waiting.........................waiting.................................wai
Typically, a hubcap will measure 1" - 1 1/2" than what size wheel it is intended for. You may also do an internet search with any part numbers found on the back side of the cap to determine what is was made for.
You technically CAN NOT measure a hubcap to determine its size. Its always an inch or so off. To determine your hubcap size you can can check your tire size. www.hubcaps.org/videos/hubcap-size.html
