Thank you from a woman learning to do these things for herself. I thought there would be directions with the hub caps but this was far better than written directions. Easy with the pop on. Didn't have the tool used here but soft mallet worked just fine.
I bought two replacement hub caps from a competitor and one tab was broken....they were nice enough to replace it free of charge but with no mounting instructions. I found your video, watched it and all went perfect. If i need hub caps in the future i will definitely buy from your company....many thanks tom
This video was very helpful for me to understand the installation of a 2010 Ford Fusion wheel cover. If you live in the Evil Empire State, NY, you'll need this knowledge since the constantly potholed highways and roadways will eventually cause them to fall off.
+Buick Regal We definitely carry wire spoke hubcaps for Buicks from 1978 but the problem is that there is more then a few options and it's a good idea for you to call our Toll Free number 800-826-5880 and work with a sales representative to figure out which one you need. We look forward to hearing from you! -The Hubcaps.com Team
Most hubcaps with broken clips, are usually opposite of the valve hole, that I found. In northern ontario, canada, improper installation would be second to why they would fall off. Terrible roads and potholes shake off even the bolt on caps! Nothing escapes!
That's what I thought! I was just double making sure. I am proud I made my mom proud and happy! Your welcome on your inquiry! I am just proud you made this video and I did have a nice connection with you before even making this comment. I have called for a 2006 Mercury Milan Hubcap and talked to Britney who was very nice and the same personality on the videos and guided me to a representative. Over the course of three times to call in between weeks you couldn't get it since it's a extinct car brand and hard to come by with only so many hubcaps of that kind out there. I did find a couple on eBay in the end. It was your small business atmosphere that saved me for getting information all on type, what to expect and how to put on hubcaps.
+Frank Scoffield You can easily use a soft rubber mallet to tap in pop on hubcaps, just make sure that you tap on the solid parts of the hubcap and not on the windows. If you need any assistance, please give us a call at (800) 826-5880!
I have a 2007 dodge caliber with stock hub caps. They are the type in which the lug nuts actually screw into. Can I replace them with the type of hub caps shown in this video or can I only use the stock screw in kind. Help
NoahB51 Thank you for your interest in our Hubcaps! Give us a call at 800-826-5880 so we can get some further information about your current wheels and what you can do as far as hubcaps go. Thank you! Britteny @ Hubcaps.com
Ok so I need to put a pop on hubcap back on but my hubcap tool does not have that "hammer" part of it. Is there something else I should use to I don't ruin my hubcap?
Anything sturdy would be fine but if you were to use a hammer I would make sure I'd wrap the hammer in cloth or old clothes very well to protect the plastic from breaking or scratching heck a shoe may even work lol
I have a 2001 GMC I have trouble with losing Center Cap the cap nuts do not catch the lug nuts are there longer log nuts I just received my new center cap and its the same problem.
+Donny Mckinnon Thank you for your inquiry. A missing hubcap would not cause the service engine light to turn on because it is not a mechanical issue. If it is not a mechanical issue, it may just be the sensors on the vehicle.
+Reach It depends on what type of clipping system your hubcaps uses, it can be one of three options: Pop on, bolt on or screw on. We can help you figure out which one you have, why they would be loose and what your options are, just give us a call at 800-826-5880! Thanks again!
+Justin A. We have quite a few Ford Expedition center caps in stock. The easiest way to determine exactly which one you need is to remove one of your existing ones and find the part numbers stamped on the back. Call us with those numbers Toll Free at 800-826-5880 and one of our sales representatives will be happy to assist you! www.hubcaps.org/expedition.html Thanks for the comment!
Hubcaps.com never mind I found 2 on the road side in pristine condition and they're already on the Expedition and haven't given us any problems thanks for your advice though
+Ashley Sheridan Hello! Sadly, this question isn't one that can be answered in full without seeing a picture of the hubcaps that you have on your vehicle. To explain: Some hubcaps with faux lug nuts that don't actually bolt on to the wheel can be replaced with retention ring hubcaps (most of them are actually that type themselves). However, in most cases, a bolt on (or lug nut hubcap) cannot be replaced by a pop on (or retention ring hubcap). There are exceptions of course but most of the time they can not be used interchangeably. To be certain, take a quick picture of your hubcaps, front and back, and call us Toll Free 800-826-5880 to speak with a sales representative. You'll get an email or a number to forward the picture to and from there we can give you your options. Hope this helps! Thanks again!
Most of the time, apart from gluing the center cap in, there is no foolproof way to prevent someone from stealing them. We do not recommend gluing them in because whenever you go to do regular maintenance such as rotating your tires etc, you will have to break them and then replace them. Sorry! Wish we had a better suggestion! -The Hubcaps.com Team
