Huh. I use mech differently. 1) Beginning of match, hide bot somewhere. This makes it a pain to move, but you will be able to decode while on a chair if hunter finds you first. 2) Decode until someone gets hit. Move bot to a cipher and either decode two ciphers at once, or use your bot to decode the cipher you were at as you run away to another cipher that isn't wiggling. 3) Alternate between you and the bot decoding. If an injured teammate runs by either of you, heal them. Bot usually doesn't receive healing calibrations, so easy heal. 4) Move bot to gate to open if someone else is decoding, or you are waiting to pop the cipher.
wwwwww I don't hide Dolls because it is pretty awkward: If I am captured, a teammate will save me quite quickly, so that won't leave me a lot of time to decode. I always carry my doll with me to either body block me or decode~
@@twilightflux6287 Doll always summon behind you. So if hunter is coming close and going to hit you, quickly summon a doll behind you. then hunter will hit the doll accidentally. But it need a lot of practices ps. A doll can body block only 2 times then he passed away .__.
"Never Have More Than 1 Survivor Participate In Rescue". Yeah, I'm totally agreed with you. I always play as the coordinator. When someone is tied on the rocket chair, I signaled "Don't move! I'll help you". And guess what, all teammates came to rescue. Omg, then who is left to decode the cipher? I met these kind of teammates most of the time when I play as the coordinator.
wwwwwwww The only times when rescuing in a group is acceptable is when 1 person has already prepared a cipher for escape, while all of the survivors are injured and have no time to heal~
We only Rescue in groups if the Survivor captured can heal faster decode faster or counter camping but I rescue everybody as long as they don’t betray me
I ended down after a decent kite. But guess what! From the moment I was hurt they swarmed all in my direction. When I ended in the chair - Distress on me - they're all there. Just one question... 'What the fuck are you all doing here?!'... So nobody decoded and we all died. :') That's why I don't play rescuer anymore. Anytime I go for the rescue as Merc there's already all team. So that's why I end up decoding as Merc swearing revenge to the sky because my debuf it's hell.
You had good teamates! When I say "I'll help you!" literally everyone else tries to rescue too instead of decoding (it's worse when you're coordinator) .... Also they try to save me when the hunter is chasing them or when I'm decoding they bring the hunter to me D:
Sometime ago.. I was playing a 2v8, decoding with Mechanic. She had the debuff, and I saw her decoding WITH the robot and the robot never failed a calibration. The strategy that I saw was that she switch to the robot 3-5 seconds and repeat.
i also play mechanic and it is my main. i like her because of the dynamic playstyle using the doll and herself. i will also give a small tip, when the game starts, i usually hide in the edge or corner of the map, or near the gate to place and hide my doll. it is verh important to deploy your doll first in case you've been targeted by the hunter first.
I think if you just use mechanic to decode one by one, there is no difference between mechanic and mind eye (about decoding). I think the strongest point of mechanic (is better than mind eye in rank) is that she can decode 2 machines at the same time , so you can finish the match sooner and that is good for survivors.^^
If I’m unlucky ( being chased by the hunter early game) I like to place my doll behind me when kiting so that it can help me take hits. The first person chased needs to survive as long as they can

Good guide. & I will try to remember that part abt switching between my doll and I after a calibration bcuz I never do it. Lol I end up with birds over my head half of the time when I'm decoding with my doll 😂
1:53 umm actually only 1 person injured. rocket chair does not count towards the debuff of the mechanic. she won't decode slower even if someone is chaired - only if someone is injured
1:16 actually that is one of the safer ciphers. it's great to pallet loop since there is so many pallets. after all pallets r gone (hunter destroys the last one) u can transition to the right n kite there. i love that cipher XD
wwww I call it unsafe because it is out in the open~ If you are skilled at kiting (unlike me, who focuses on preservation) you can decode there confidently!

Thats so different from how I use mech tho, if I know I spawned in a dangerous spot as soon as my cipher reaches about 40% I’ll leave the doll there and move on from that spot as long as I know hunter is chasing someone else. And I’ll always summon the doll as soon as someone gets injuried, move somewhere else and camp near a safe cipher so I can keep touching it to prevent crows/double decode. Edit: I also never use doll to body block for me since I know I cant always count on my teammates decoding so I’ll try to preserve its life as much as I can, way too many times I reached 300%+ decoding with her
i prefer deploying my doll right away at the start of the game n just decode another cipher. hunter will see that someone is decoding a cipher n might waste her time going/teleporting towards the doll. also, i get more use out of it. especially if i am chaired or incapacitated. or when i'm kiting n i can decode at the same time.
I have died so many times due to the Detention bcoz the low tier survivor did not know how the persona works.. I’m going to the rescue and they finish the last chiper and i got hit by detention directly

ww Survivors shouldn't decode together because it is inefficient~ And since Coordinator and Mechanic's decoding speed all depends on other survivor's performance and the hunter, it is important for survivors to leave them each a cipher to decode alone, even if you are there first~
I use the owl to protect someone when: -The hunter hits them -Someone says "I need help!" -The person is freed from a rocket chair (when hunter is camping)
ww Both are great! Do you like decoding more or rescue more? Mercenary is the only character that can save 100% of the time, thus he always has to be running around the map to rescue teammates. Mind's Eye, on the other hand, decodes the fastest next to Mechanic. Nobody expect you to do anything but decode~
Hiunter z Definitely Mechanic. She has the fastest decoding speed and can decode even while on the chair plus her doll can decode almost as fast as a Mind’s Eye. She can rescue and heal by herself, and provide a body block with it as well. Although her debuff sucks, the doll is more than enough to deal with it :)
ww Yes. But there are no real notifications for the hunter. If the hunter is a little bit skilled, he/she can detect the wiggling of the cipher and teleport here~
