2 Methods to Extend C Drive in Windows: bit.ly/3KCmYce ------------------------------ Join two smaller hard disk (or SSDs) into one larger volume. For example turn partition D and E into a larger D.
Thank you so much for the detailed video. And thank you for proving that you can move the drives to another computer, you helped me out big time. But as a added question do you know if you can move the drives ower to another computer if you have encrypted them?
can i combine 2 files if one is windows so i get more space on my windows disk/file? they are 2 diffrent disk tho one is disk 1 and the other is disk 0 can i still combine and how beacuse its not working
I have a computer that with a singular SSD that I separated into two disks(I didn’t know how) I want to merge them and I cannot find anything on how to reallocate the space back to the original.
How does windows add data to the 2 hdds? In what order? Will it completely fill one then start on the other or does it keep the amounts roughly balanced?
I'm not sure, but I think it will fill one first. This is not RAID 0 where half of the data is written to one disk and the other half to the other disk.
sadly its not letting me due to the reason that the system (C) is on disk 1 and i cant turn it into dynamic with the new disk 0. is there an other way to do so?
The thing for me is that I dont have enough space in the drive so I cant merge them and I would delete stuff but I dont know how much gigabytes I need to merge the drives
What if I unnalocated the two separate drives I want to combine? I can't seem to figure out what to do. Disc 0 D drive and Disc 1 E drive. I would like to combine
If you don't care of your D drive then delete it and extend the C drive. If you don't want to delete D drive than try to use another partitioning software. Here is a similar example ► ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1o2FuTg8di4.html
My c drive is on Disk 0 and it needs additional space. My Disk 1 has a lot of free space. Can I transfer some free space from Disk 1 to Disk 0? Is it possible?
Windows must be on a normal (basic) disk, so only 2 other disks can be merged. Don't store any important files on that merged drive! If one drive fails, both will be unusable!
I have an issue. I bought a nice laptop second hand, lots of memory and a fast CPU. But, the SSD are very small, only 167 GB. Therefore, I search for a way to extend with more disks. Is it possible to add disks to the main disk that Windows is already installed on? I use Win10 by the way. Thanks for a very good video.
If there is no additional disk slot (M.2) inside the laptop then either get a larger SSD and replace the existing 167 GB one with it, or use one or more external disks (HDD or SSD) through the USB port.
It is a good explanation, thank you! It is not clear to me, however, if you can join partitions from two different (physical) disks, say partition 1 of disk1 and partition 1 of disk2. Could you please address the issue
From what I understood on the video, you can join partitions of different physical disks, but none of these partitions can have Windows installed. The new extended volume will became a dynamic disk, that can't be used for booting or storing the Windows. Also, I'm not sure it's a good idea to join 2 physical disks, because your data will be spread on them. If you need to remove one, you might loose some data or have it corrupted.
