the work he is doing is helping, completely free of charge, people have different methods and this is based on taking the best of each one and putting together your own style, the person who prospers is the one who takes advice from anyone and learn about it. If you have problems with that go to a mental professional because nobody here is offending you my friend.
Thank you Brobeatz. I'm looking forward to the more detailed mixing/mastering tutorial . Please include mid/side eq, Multiband compression, parallel compression, dynamic eq, sidechaining, glue compression and how to use properly a reference track . Much love from your best student out in South Africa. I cant thank you enough bro
I looked for a video like this for years.. really glad I found it. Improved it all for me man. Keep making more like these. Awesome and best explanation ever.
That’s crazy. Mixing everything or just the low end to the melody. I usually level the drums to pink noise, then drag the parts of the melody up to blend with the 808 in solo. And I do it in mono. Then I’ll reset to stereo
Easier way to route @BroBeatzTV if your interested... 1. Highlight all the tracks you want to route to a bus 2. Hold CTRL then click the little routing arrow at the bottom of the bus you want to route to. It routes everything selected to that track only. For those who are new or confused... in FL 20 "the arrow pointing up" at the bottom of each track, looks like a triangle. And it will turn into a down arrow with the string attached to the routed tracks!
This was so interesting. Definitely a different way of doing things, like I've seen some of these techniques before but the way you explained it made it all better. Gotta try that slide down all sliders half down a shot. I've been having a problem debating if my 808 should be louder than my kick, Now I feel like im gonna get the right amount of thump. That quick "mastering" part was A1 too. Gaining sound and then re-leveling.. Game changer. Thanks!
Man you're the goat. I wish there was a similar type of channel that goes in depth with the DAWs features but with ableton. Everyone uses FL and I totally understand but I wish there was a channel like this for ableton. That being said your videos have helped me so much and I've learned a lot. Thank you for sharing your knowledge bro!
One thing that seemed really weird to me about Ableton was how tiny the meters and volume sliders were in arrangement view compared to how in your face it is in FL. I think the session view has proper sliders? But I like how everything is routed in Ableton and there isn't a disconnect between channels and "the mixer."
Hey Brobeatz. I just tried this new way of mixing. Gotta say, it was very fun to try new things. The only bad encounter was when I moved to the "mastering", I added Stereo shaper, Maxed out the settings like in the video, U didn't explain what to do or nothing about the plugin, But it realllly distorted my beat. Idk what I did wrong, maybe something in previous steps but what I ended up doing was doing a +4.6 dB gain (half wayish) and that worked. Used EQ1 instead of EQUO and lastly same video settings on the clipper. I finished off with bussing my sounds like u said and re leveled. Turned out really great, My low end def bumpin. Overall, definitely going to be using these techniques. and with more practice itll all be done faster. Thanks bro!
Glad it worked out for you, the stereo shaper was to act as a maximizer or to just bring the levels up, i tried to use very basic plugins so ppl with other DAWs could follow along too so if you have 3rd party plugins you can try just throwing 1 of those mastering plugins on instead
