How was the stain?

Sorry for taking so long to answer, I don't come on RU-vid very often and I am not familiar with it. Yes, the amount of sugar needed really differs between locations. Even between seasons here! Your videos are awesome!

I don't apply anything except coconut or olive oil if there are some very stubborn bits of henna paste that I have trouble scratching off. I'm pretty sure balms are useless and people think it makes the stain darker because applying creams/oils makes the colors brighter momentarily.

Can we use coconut oil

Hello! Sorry for the late answer. In my experience, lemon juice isn't necessary and I have really sensitive skin so I prefer to use as less ingredients as possible. Water from my tap has always worked just fine!

You can find essential oils in drugstores and natural products stores. I usually keep the henna on my hand for 10 to 15 hours (I think it was 15 hours for this design).

She said her favourite is eucalyptus oil which she's used in the video

I made my henna paste my mocing an oil called meso mahalabiya oil...it was recommended by one of the local stores here...but I'm not happy with the stain...the stain u have on ur hands n d video are just amazing...I love it

+Fzr Aj Lavender is just as good as eucalyptus. I don't recommend using anything other than the ingredients in the video...

lemon is acidic and can be harsh ...on some people it can leave a mark almost like a scar...in the past a lot of henna a artists used it but I find now people are using just water and 100% pure essential oils

It's better to use undiluted oil because it gets mixed into the paste anyway. It won't be harmful for the skin if you buy the right type. I guess you can look around for oils used for aromatherapy or massages. I think the henna artist mentioned already in the comments she uses lavender essential oil for people with sensitive skin. Hoped that helped :)

My guess is that some off the ingredients you used are not good quality as mine. You can write me an email with the exact ingredients (brands, type) you used so we can figure out together what went wrong!

Henna CKG thanks for replying I used very good quality rajasthani henna sugar lavender oil & eucalyptus oil lemon juice left the mixer over night then used it I left the henna on my hand 4 hours and sealed it with lemon sugar water .I love your henna designs and mostly the dark colour 😊

Hello! After mixing, the paste is good for about 4 days at room temperature. You can preserve them for longer by freezing them and taking one out when you need one.

But the lumps aren't from the sugar though, they're from the powder particles stuck together. I eliminated the straining from my routine a long time ago, it is messy and it's not needed with the henna powder I use.

Hello! Yes it's the same, I always use the same recipe on myself and my clients. The sugar helps to keep the paste stick to the skin. It doesn't melt unless you add too much water in the mix, or live in a climate that's a lot more humid than mine.
