The Q knob is something we use everyday as mixing engineers… It’s really not « uncommonly seen around mixing engineers » . CLA vocals is a nice aggressive cheat code for demos 👌

Your AI says it itself that it's about tweaking the Q no? A thing that we do tweak a lot especially when it comes to HPF. And an attenuation of higher freq with gentle slope is also available quite a few HPF filters points on hardware EQs.

He was attenuating certain high-end frequencies and the boostin it again with another band. When I referred to it as "uncommonly seen among mixing engineers," I didn't mean it was a MAGICAL TECHNIQUE. I've rarely observed any mixing engineer employing this technique, even after closely examining vocal chains of numerous top engineers.

@@yeckxo When you talked about tweaking the Q, it is the section of the video about the HPF. In the low-end. Now you talk about attenuating high-end to boost them again. It's not from the same section of the video? I also never implied it's magical, just that tweaking the Q is what most mixing engineers do on a regular basis.

It really depends on your recording equipments and your vocal character but 99% of times it's needed. Why do you avoid using EQ?

Why do you need so many compression? I understand certain equipment having character but it just seems redundant. The EQ, I get, notching problem frequencies and doingmore cuts and adds, OK.

Most of the vocals have been tuned beforehand (most likely using melodyne this vocal sound slightly out of tune to industry standards

Mud range Is around 330Hz sometimes lower. It's good to get a fundamental frequency chart, you can roll off frequencies below the fundamental, you can Google the chart. Each Instrument has a fundamental and a harmonic frquency, the harmonic tells the listen what It is, and the fundamental Is the meat as it were.

We have an upcoming video about the double vocal hack. Also, for fixing muddy vocals, you can use the setting shown on the multiband compressor in this video. Simply adjust the frequency range. Look around for the 200 Hz, 400 Hz, and sometimes the 120 Hz area. These might not be the exact frequencies, but they’re good starting points to find the problem.

Im sorry but where did you get this info? lol You got some parts right but the rest is a load of crap you listed plugins he doesnt use and the order isnt even correct😂 #1 in the chain is Spectre to saturate the mids and highs. He uses the warm setting. #2 is El Ray Compressor #3 is Pro Q-3 roll off low end #4 MC 404 Multiband Compressor #5 Pro Q3 again for more sculpting. #6 Fresh Air #7 A second MC 404 (rarely uses it) #8 CLA Vocals #9 C6 #10 Soothe 2 using his preset Thats his chain not this!! lol

I obtained all this information from his official tutorial. Please note that no one uses a fixed chain, and approaches may vary in every project. The chain you mentioned is also valid.

@@KidKyroOffical Are you disputing the accuracy of that information? Provide evidence. Jaycen Joshua has conducted 3-4 seminars with various mixing engineers, including Dave Pensado and Timbaland. In these sessions, he delved into different projects and discussed his diverse approaches. It is unreasonable to assume that what you observed in one seminar is the extent of his practices. Additionally, there is a slight discrepancy between your statement and mine. Furthermore, I showcase all the settings and presets in my video, allowing everyone to replicate them without purchasing any templates. This is merely an option to save time. what's the problem with that?
