9:36 I love how the lid doesn't fit the pan, that's so relatable 😂 We have so many pans at home that we can't even find the matching lids. Also, AAAAMAZING recipes, i can't wait to try some of these!
I love all the dishes in this set but my favorite is the TOFU. It's so good! And a tip for easy removal of honey from a spoon: Measure the sesame oil first. The honey and other liquids will slide out easily.
Hello Daniel , I'm keeping All your recipes for current use and for when my daughters ' Future Husband ' comes to stay .....he's South Korean , last time he said he really enjoyed home cooking ! Thanks to your good self I've learnt so much from you . 🙏🏼❤️ 👌🏼
Tip for skimming broths: Put your ladle in the freezer for like 30 mins, then when you scoop just use the bottom of the ladle and have a few ice cubes in the ladle. The scum will actually stick to the ladle because it's cold on hot.
Since the cafeterias in German schools are still closed due to COVID measurements I‘ll be dosiraking! So these dishes come in handy! Again, compliment on the choice of music!
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ????? I’ve been waiting for you guys video 🥺 and how about chitchat breakfast!?! I mean I know KT works remotely now but...but I miss chitchat breakfast. Anyway, thank you for the video. Always love to see you cook.
Yay! This looks so delicious. I'll have to make this for my Monday meal. Yum! Always happy to see you and Katie! Much love to you guys. P.S.We need a Daniel vlog too
The braised tofu was one of my favorite dishes but my mother never taught me how to make it. I’m having her over for her birthday dinner and I’ll be making this. I didn’t realize how simple it was. Thank you!
Hi Jeff! Yes, the H-mart ladies can be intimidating at first glance... but once you ask, they'll be excited to help. Perhaps the easiest way is to point to this text (멸치 육수 다시팩) or you can try to pronounce myeolchi - yooksu - dashi - pak! 😆
I took a screen shot of the video (half a second before kelp is added to the pan) and showed it to the lady at H Mart. A picture's worth a thousand words!
"There's no need to go outside and see friends". So, basically, everyone should be able to self-isolate from COVID-19 if they make this tofu at home? I'm in full support of that! 😋
We tried the tofu dish and the beef soup. They were very tasty! The tofu was crispy outside and soaked all delicious sauce. We liked your new idea to introduce multiple dishes as set menu very much! Thank you for introducing your recipes. Best wishes from Germany!
It's not a new idea. It is traditional in Korean to have 1 main course in the middle and plenty of bancha or side dishes. More the better. It's meant to share with family and add variety and tastes.
people are so desperate for attention that they'll do things that don't matter or make sense. Just pretend you don't see it from now on. Because you won't stop seeing it.
I love your recipes and your personality. Sometimes I make Korean food that takes a lot of time and effort, but sometimes I need simple quick recipes like these :)
﴿وَما خَلَقتُ الجِنَّ وَالإِنسَ إِلّا لِيَعبُدونِ﴾ [الذاريات: ٥٦] And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. - Saheeh International ﴿ما أُريدُ مِنهُم مِن رِزقٍ وَما أُريدُ أَن يُطعِمونِ﴾ [الذاريات: ٥٧] I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. - Saheeh International ﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزّاقُ ذُو القُوَّةِ المَتينُ﴾ [الذاريات: ٥٨] Indeed, it is Allāh who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. - Saheeh International ﴿فَإِنَّ لِلَّذينَ ظَلَموا ذَنوبًا مِثلَ ذَنوبِ أَصحابِهِم فَلا يَستَعجِلونِ﴾ [الذاريات: ٥٩] And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their companions [i.e., predecessors], so let them not impatiently urge Me. - Saheeh International ﴿فَوَيلٌ لِلَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن يَومِهِمُ الَّذي يوعَدونَ﴾ [الذاريات: ٦٠] And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. - Saheeh International
I JUST made braised tofu for the first time today, right before you uploaded this! Used another recipe for the sauce that I found on youtube but it was pretty much the same as this and super tasty. It's possibly my new favorite thing to make. So easy, low effort, you just fry the tofu and mix the sauce and leave it all alone.
@@queenofcreepsville And ya I about fell out when he said “soak up the grease”...like your potatoes will taste much better if you cook with it bc it was a tiny bit, not even enough to put a teaspoon in the grease jar!
When I was a kid my best friend Kwang & I would help his mom - she would come home with brown paper sacks FILLED with little anchovies. They would use them to cook all sorts of stuff, or even just throw a few in your ramen... But FIRST you have to pick out the 'black stuff' out of the middle. I'm assuming that is the digestive track, entrails, etc., but we just called it 'poop'. 😂 lol
This looks so good! I'm making this whole set for dinner tonight. After a long work week this is the comfort food I need 😍 thank you so much for sharing!
Oh Daniel these recepies are fab love them Im off to buy my ingredients at the beautiful fully stocked Asian shop Have to buy the marbled meat and spices yummo Cant wait to try them Cheers 🇦🇺💃🏼❤️💐
No......you never throw out bacon grease!!!! That is a cook’s gold. I don’t know how you eat those same ingredients in every thing. Like soy sauce oyster sauce ect.
The tofu was so good (and easy to make) that the smell had my kiddo (14) running to the kitchen. She doesn't usually eat tofu, but she actually ate a portion. And said she would eat it again!
Hi Daniel, I really want to make the soup, but I could not find dashima or the broth bags at the Asian market I go to. Do you think it's possible to make with beef broth, maybe with adding some fish or oyster sauce? Would it still taste good, or do you have a suggestion for a different broth? Thank u
I have shellfish and tree nut allergies (and I have to be careful with soy) however I love Korean (and Japanese food). Could I substitute the sesame seed oil with good olive oil and the oyster sauce with mushroom/vegetarian oyster sauce?
Please make more set meal and this good for Korean and Chinese who working abroad, the peoples who use to cook, there country chef, most of them follow RU-vid, I shared with our cook in srilanka Daniel meals,!
Oh thats a great meal, yum, have to try tofu again, the first time I tasted it , it was tasteless and spongy, but I tried some in a restaurant Agedashi tofu, deep fried silken Tofu in Bonito and soy broth, i liked it Must try your dish 🇦🇺❤️🌺
im an eastern european living in west europe and tho i cook well, day to day after work i often find myself always going back to korean and chinese recipes. they're so easy and flexible, and tasty! it's even a bit shameful to admit, but this became my go-to cuisine if i want something daily, haha. might try making this sort of setup when i have some time.
3:36 not blood, myoglobin. it's just a liquid within the muscle tissue, it never goes through the veins and stuff. that's the thing the delicious juices of fried meat come from, so it's nice to know the difference)
Your bacon is interesting, in Australia, bacon is cut much thicker and has a much greater meat to fat ratio, even American bacon looks super thin compared with Australian bacon.
I watched on another cooking show that if you use both oil and honey pour the oil into the spoon first, empty oil into bowl then pour the honey into the same , now empty spoon, then pour honey into bowl. The honey will empty very easily now because of the left over residue from the oil that will provide a slippery surface that the honey cannot adhere to. Just helping and not undermining...
Not a Korean recipe, but a Japanese blogger turns spent kelp (and spent bonito flakes) into a lightly stir-fried furikake, that goes great with rice. Just look up "Just One Cookbook" and "kelp furikake".
