Please make a video on how to be heat trained during the summer girl! I’m in a battle between getting a relaxer or a keratin treatment, but i’m somewhat scared of both of them. I’m somewhat already heat trained to an extent because I blow dry my hair every wash day, so about every two weeks. But i’m tired of blowouts and I want a more sleek look and to wear my hair straight. I don’t even know if it’s possible to maintain natural straight hair in the summer, but if there is please make a video about it.

Wow, very interesting tip with using the Silicon product on top of the deep conditioner. Im new to being a straight natural, but I find that my hair starts to feel and look dry 7-10 days. I have to wash and start the process all over again, which is fine. BUT I always wonder how girls can get away with not moisturing for a good month! I wouldnt have thought to use leave-in AND oil nightly on my ends!
@naturalnadinee
@naturalnadinee 4 месяца назад
It’s a game changer that silicon mix :) && yess I’ve been doing this for a white and find it really helps with my ends not getting dry I feel like oil alone when I’m stretching my hair for weeks just doesn’t quite cut it my ends would be super dry aswell so you’re not alone there!xx

Love this vid! Few questions please. 1) Do you rinse out the DC before putting the Silicone mix? 2) How long do you leave it in the hair for before rinsing out? 3) Do you use a shower cap and heat cap with this?
@naturalnadinee
@naturalnadinee 4 месяца назад
Hey girl thank you! && I apply my DC and use my heat cap for about 30 minutes, before rinsing I apply the silicon mix and let it sit on top of the DC for about 5 minutes before rinsing both the DC and silicon mix xxx

When I was straight, I used leav-in every night. I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm up to 18 inches in mini plaits. Goal is now 24(instead of 20). Then I'll try the straight using your tips. Or at least stretched.

Truth, even as a curly natural (4c) girl with fine hair, I use a dime size amount of the camille rose coconut water detangling leave in all over my hair and a small amount of the keracare butter cream on the ends before twisting my hair up before bed. So much less shedding and it doesn't feel heavy at all. Interested to know if the silicone mix would be beneficial on non straight natural hair cause I keep seeing it at my local shop and want to buy it. Love your videos so much!!

Oh yess love to see it! It’s so refreshing to see someone with 4C say this too because I feel like they target these thick products more for type 4 hair && love that coconut water range so hydrating and lightweight && you seem to know what works for your hair so I would give the silicone mix a try, let me know what you think xxx
@LakaciaLloyd

I’m primarily a curly natural and I LOVE Silicon Mix. I use the original by itself as a deep conditioner and it leaves the hair very plush-feeling. I can’t use it every wash day, though, because after about the 3rd or 4th use, the hair starts to get a plasticky feeling. I imagine that makes it ideal for heat styling. I also love Crece Pelo and that doesn’t have too much silicone and leaves my hair even softer and more plush than Silicon Mix.

Hiya Nadine! 🙋🏾‍♀️ I can never seem to get my hair flat straight like yours, my hair seems to be flow everywhere and stick up. I wash with clarifying then moisture shampoo. I deep condition (bamboo silicone mix, and Manuka honey mask). Then i use a very small amount of the redken anti-break leave-in, colour wow dream coat (for humidity) and heat protectant, before blow out. Then chi silk when straightening. I even bought a new straightener, and the double sided boar brush 🥲 I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any tips would to appreciated!
@jayteeblues
@jayteeblues 4 месяца назад
Hi! Love the silicone mix. In training your hair to lower its overall PH, are you still adding ACV on top of your deep conditioner ALONG with the silicone mix. Or do you just do that when you’re going to wear it curly? Where does the ACV fit into this. Wash, deep condition (adding silicone mix and-or ACV, leave in. Then adding light weight leave in on ends nightly.
@naturalnadinee
@naturalnadinee 4 месяца назад
Hey girl! I don’t use the ACV mix on my straight hair only when I wore it curly, mainly because heat seals the hair cuticle when I use a straightener it flattens my cuticle and all the products I use now are acidic and Low PH products which in my curly hair routine they weren’t always xxx
@jayteeblues
@jayteeblues 4 месяца назад
Thanks for responding. So that I’m clear, when wearing curly you do the ACV with DC, but if you’re wearing straight you reach for silicone on top of DC, all to help seal that cuticle down after good moisture by DC. does that about sum it up. Thanks so much. I’m hydration training my daughter’s hair and your tips have been so helpful! She goes back and forth between curly and straight. She’s in her straight this week and it’s stayed pretty moist all week. Just a bit of humidity reversion due to weather.

So to clarify, you dont put oil on your hair before straightening it because its like cooking your hair and you dont put it on your hair while wet. But do put it on after your leave in conditioner. Right? Are you puttiing leave on, on your hair prior to straightening it? If you are, arent you putting oil on it? Or did i hear you incorrectly? Also, im waiting on my silicon mix to come but i have a silicon serum. Do you use silicon serum? And if so, in what step after you get out the shower are you using it? I wash and do protein treatment, rinse, then deep condition, rinse, get out of shower, shirt dry my hair, prior to blow dry and flat iron I apply leave in, heat protectant, a tiny bit of oil then some silicone serum cause you said silicone protects the hair from heat. But the silicone makes my hair have little to no movement and body to it. What am i doing wrong or what do i need to change?
@naturalnadinee
@naturalnadinee 4 месяца назад
Hey girl yes I avoid oil before heat styling I use after the fact && you only need the smallest amount of a silicon serum, a pea sized for the entire head and focus on your ends only xx

What’s better for our hair? titanium or ceramic? I use the babyliss just because I saw that around as a go to? I don’t go past 410 or even under mostly just to be safe. Thoughts? Good video btw❤

Hey girl, titanium makes the hair straighter due to the heat distribution and other factors but causes more heat damage I personally would leave titanium’s to the professionals ceramics do the job good aswell xxx
