Love that youre honest and humble about your level of knowledge. Really helps people understand that they should do more research if they want to know more. Great video.
Hey man, great video. Just wondering, what are you using to hold the wiring down near the bottom of the gearbox? One problem I always have is with the extra wiring from the fet, sometimes the motor chews up the wiring. Lately I just use a dab of locktite to hold it down, but yours looks nice and clean!
great video. there aren't many on youtube on mosfet installation. not only did you explain installation really well but you also help the less tech savy (like me) understand what is a mosfet. question - what camera are you using?
Hey man great video. Quick question, I installed my gate 3.2 mosfet and I believe it is all programmed correctly, but when I hook it all up and press the trigger nothing happens. Do you have any ideas as to what might be going wrong? Like incorrect soldering of signal wire? Thanks and again, great vid.
Michael Cecchini check for shots and see if the motor spins while outside of the gun. If nothing is happening and you're pulling the trigger and it's cycling through modes, you probably have a short.
Lonex and g&p both make good trigger contacts but there are others. Pretty much the only ones to avoid are KWA lol. And yeah the hamsterfet can either be purchased straight through asm or through brillarmory.
Can you make a video going through a standard m4 gearbox and suggest after market upgrades for all the parts for a 400fps gun? Gears, piston, bearings, etc...
Nope. It's a case by case basis sort of thing. If you want to see other similar builds I've done I have multiple videos up on this channel with the parts lists in the description.
I have a Gates NANo AAB on a ICS PAR Mk3 I do like it but is there a way to change the timing of the soft braking ? Because in my ICS it tend to leave the Air Nozzle back, The spring itself is decompress so no worries there just that the nozzle stays back. Any idea what i should do .
lets put it this way. the motor needs watts and the battery gives the watts sure you can overcharge your motor how ever there is a optimum for every motor and you need to find that. the mosfet itselfs protect the cirqut and accelarates the motor start up speed. a lot of pp dont know this but here is a nice example. 11.1 lipo gate titan lonex a1 balanced motor 12:1 shs gears equels instant trigger response 11.1 lipo gate titan lonex a3 speed motor 12:1 shs gears equals also a instant trigger response or very close to a ht motor. the 2nd i would recomend since there is a optimum in rps and that is 40-45 anything above is a piston stripper setup and then even te precise cycle detection of the titan is not good enough to save the piston.
Chris Boggs My AEG's active breaking wire came loose from the solder on the "motherboard" that has a 30 green fuse wire wrapped. When I try to plug in a LiPo battery without that active breaking wire hooked to the board, no power runs. Very frustrated.
Chris Boggs I think I replied to this through facebook but yeah that wire is the gate wire. Not necessarily the "active breaking" wire. It's the signal wire that tells the mosfet to open or close. So yeah solder that back on and you're good to go.
Okay i will warn you about that this comment is not about your vid or anything, but i have little guestion. So i got G&P M4 and atm i'm using 8,4v battery in it. But i would like to upgrade it a little and get little bit faster rps. Okay now my actual question: is 7,4v lipo better than for example 9,6v nyckel battery(i dont know rly if it is nyckel in english but i hope u understand)? Like i was thinking is 7,4v lipo better and why would it be than 8v or 9v battery?
GeneralAiron yeaup. pretty much everything he said. It depends on how much space you have in your gun although 7.4 lipos are more bang for your buck space wise. It's initially a little bit more of an investment because I recommend picking up an AC6 charger with it but it's worth it.
pfffffff asuming you are saying 8.4 i asume its either a cheap model or it was a relative good deal. anyway there are 2 mosfets that i can guarantee for 11.1 and those are the titans from gate and the bc spectre. how ever keep in mind that there is a upgrade optimum for everyreplica and if you go 11.1 start shimming your gears get a very good motor new gears radius your gearbox and have a strong gearbox shell. lets just put it this way the easy thing is the 11.1lipo and the spring upgrade. the rest requeres patience and a lot of work and making the right choices good luck ;)
hey i have a tech question, i have a vfc 416 and put in a devil jet m170 then had a little bit of work on it and was told that the motor tore apart the gears but as far as i can tell everything looks fine. do you have any idea how long i should get on this setup using a 20c 2000mah 7.4 lipo if it was brand new because i pretty much put in the motor as soon as i got the gun.
I would imagine the piston would die first but on a 7.4 you might see 10k rounds. I don't know its hard to tell. So someone told you the gears are done but you've already looked at them and theyre fine?
then just keep running it until it dies. You're going to need to spend the money to overhaul it sometime in the future so just wait until you need it and get your moneys worth out of the stuff already in it.
right around deez. if you pair the wires right it'll work but also this is less of a relevant video now because computerized mosfets or completed mosfets with trigger contacts are a big thing now.
