I dont like stainless steel arbours as the can damage the all important crown. Tasco uses, at least on the older model, aluminum arbours that will not scratch or damage your crown.
nice quick video. i like to set my elevation setting on the scope one line below the crosshairs. this gives me one inch high at 100yds. i set two lines below on a 50cal. muzzeloader to counter the drop.
That may be true but he didn't install the mount and you don't have to have a bore sighting tool like that. The guy at home can simply set the rifle where it is solid and look through the bore and aim it at a door knob or something and adjust the scope until it is sighted at the same door knob.
Much cheaper and easier to just get a cheap bore sight tool that sits on the end of the muzzle. Points the gun at a wall about 30 feet away and turn the adjustment knobs so that the cross hairs end up about an inch above the red dot. Then shoot it at 50 yards and secure the gun with the crosshairs right on the bullet hole and adjust it until the crosshairs move to the aim point. Works fantastically! Great video though. I’ve never seen one of those setups. Very interesting.
