Do you have a video of drilling the actual hole in the back of the skull? My son's first skull and was very nervous about breaking part of the skull. We have no experience in this. Is the skull sturdy enough to not break? Any help will be appreciated.
If it is a doe or a small buck we don't use the boiling process, we macerate. Doing this process will remove all the brain matter, and you won't need to pop out the ears. Young deer and does are super fragile. Using the drill on them can and almost will break the bone at the back of the skull.
@@The5MFamily Perfect answer, I see why, I boil and they can be saved but can you do it in a timely manner and still make a buck?? Your not quite on a time clock with the beetles you just let them do there thing. Thanks for the reply Daniel Tobin.
The plaques I order come with the screws so I won’t know the exact size. You can buy individual screws at Home Depot. Go buy a 2”, 2.5”, etc. one of them will work.
