Have you been wanting to mount a TV over the fireplace but were unsure of how to go about it? In this video, I'm going to show you how to mount a tv over a fireplace. I'll be installing this ONN TV Wall Mount from Walmart over a fireplace. This is a 58" big screen TV we'll be mounting over the fireplace. This DIY project is pretty simple. I think even people with minimal ability can hang a tv over a fireplace. Just be aware that it really goes quicker and easier with two people. The ONN TV wall mount is fairly heavy as far as tv wall mounts go. It's certainly heavier than the small Armstrong tv wall mount from Harbor Freight I used in my cabin (make sure you check out my installation video of that one)
To hang a TV over the fireplace, you'll need some basic tools. A Phillips head screwdriver and either a socket set or wrenches are going to be needed. A drill with a small bit, a stud finder and a level will also make this job much easier! Now we're ready to begin mounting a big screen TV over a fireplace!
