David Williams provides a detailed tutorial on how to setup and mount the DirectForce Pro Wheel Base. It's a must watch for new DFPro wheelbase owners.

6:55 "It's highly recommended you use a quick release": If you're not planning on changing rims, what would be the advantage of using a quick release? Or do you just mean you really ought to use some additional spacer?
There wouldn't be one. If you need more space between the wheel and the wheelbase for whatever reason, you can hard mount a spacer (or multiple) which would likely be a cheaper solution.
@@matthewpham Ah ok thanks. I figured a QR would only be a potential point of failure if I had no need to switch rims. As it turns out I have a Turn BP2 button plate and they recommend a 50mm spacer to give the cable clearance. It sticks straight back into the front of the motor. Using a block of wood right now while waiting on a 50mm spacer.
Is it critical to plug in the motor conection with the wrong side?? At first it was plugged in false and after no recieving force feedback i reolugged it with the correct side. Now ffb is working but i am a bit scarred
What size are those bolts that secure the QR to the hub? I just got my VRS DFP and I'm not sure if it was supposed to come with those bolts but mine didn't, but I don't know what size threads those are.
If I buy the vrs base with the hub adapter - can I just screw the adapter right onto a 70mm wheel or do I have to get a quick release like in this guide? So confusing all this osw wheels adapter stuff :D .. im gonna order base next month.. but I need a steering wheel, so I wanna do some research on what to get, where to get it and what i need for it to work together with the base.. I assume i need usb link up since its not wireless like simucube and simagic?
