Problem is, most apps won't allow you to move them onto the card. Bought an SD card and formatted for internal storage basically for nothing. Only freed up maybe 1 GB. Still using 27.86 of 32 GB of storage. But, your video on how to do it was great and very easy. Bravo.
Many devices won't allow you to move app to sd card unless you format you sd card for internal storage. I can solve your problem. First, go to settings->system->developer options, slide down until saw "force allow apps on external", turn it on and restart you phone. Now you can move any app to sd card unless system apps;)
@@christopherroveto5880 Wow, that's disappointing. I just wound up buying a new phone because of this situation. Wasn't what I wanted to do, but I had no choice. Made sure I bought one with 256GB on board and hope it lasts awhile.
Thanks a lot bruh Love from Bangladesh. I have watched more than 50 video to transfer the data but all was fake. Finally i found you, and.... Bro i am so thankful to you. Love you boy...
Nope. Card is already formatted as internal storage on my Moto G4 (Android 7) and it stores a few things there. There is NO option given to move an app there. Been through this exercise a dozen times or more. Phone is showing only about 5% storage used but I have to delete one or more of the two dozen apps showing on my screen every time I want to load something new.
@@Th3BigBoy Thank you George. I learned that nothing I can do will force the phone to install apps on the SD unless they were specifically designed to do that. My only viable choice was to purchase a new phone. Is it planned obsolescence? Yeah, I can agree to that.
@@MasterNoob.3.3.3.4.5. The phone did not allow updating. I abandoned a phone that is in excellent condition and did what I needed for the sole reason that I described. Some of us use them mostly as telephones and for text but sometimes apps are required to do business. Planned obsolescence is annoying and, on some level, immoral. Hate to tell you how old my laptop is, and it works great.
Thanks a lot bro I have watched more than 50 videos to transfer but all was fake and was not working . Finally , I found you and it worked Thanks 🙏 so much brother
I have a Moto G Play -2023 and not only does it NOT allow me to move apps to SD storage the way you suggested, it claims to allow it through the Google Files app but when I get to the part of clicking the 3 dots the only options are 'Select all' or 'Sort by' and if I select 'Select all' the only 2 options are 'Deselect all' or 'Uninstall'
if the game has saves i doubt it'll show up on the new phone since it'll be overwritten. idk its imo since if you're talking about consoles, i dont have one lol. but im sure you could keep it's resources so you dont have to download it again by doing sum method
Great information. However, your presentation could improve 50% if you shoot a close up of your phone because the text on your phone is too small to read, even when viewing at 1080p. And then slow down as you talk to allow your diction to sound more clearly because your Puerto Rican accent distorts some of your words. I had to listen 4 times to get your meaning. So thank you for making a good effort. Much appreciated your knowledge.
Another topic, my SD card has a lot of pictures but if I need to put my games to SD card I need to reformat right. And if I did my pictures will be deleted? Right?
Hello. I have a Nokia 6.1. Also with Android One, like your Motorola, yet on the SD card options, it does not give me the option for formatting as internal storage (only one option the format). Do you have any ideas or knowledge of the Nokia as it differs from the Mororola even though they are both running the same type of Android OS?
Also interested in SD card app storage option for Nokia6.1 AndroidONE Android version 10. Or is there a way to have Viber store videos and movies in SD card rather than internal phone storage even if main Viber app stays in internal storage?
Hello. Eventhough i did the same method the memory consumed by the app is still internal storage. And memory space of both internal memory and sd card remains same as before. It only says in the storage section of the app as sd card and nothing else. Why? What should i do?
@@gianmarcosicuri8325 Hello to you too. I was told newer versions of Android doesn't have the function to use sd cards as internal storages anymore. Except for photos and media you can't store apps on sd cards anymore. At least as far as I know. I would be happy to be proven wrong with my 16gb android tablet though
@@spectacularrobotToyshank you, so basically the fact that your phone allow you to supposedly move apps to the sd card is like useless? As it is not possible to full move the app data?
@@gianmarcosicuri8325 I believe it's either useless after newer android versions or available for some devices. I think asking android subreddit would clear your doubts
Hello, can you help me how to do it in Samsung A71. I tried turning on the allow apps on external sd card before and after moving apps, but it doesn't work. it's either I can't open app or the app auto-closes. I hope you can give some response. Thanks
Help! New Motorola with new SanDisk ULTRA microsdxc UHS-I Card. I followed your instructions but when I got to the format screen, I only got "Format". There was not an option to format for storage. So I went ahead and formatted with the option available. Then went to Storage> Apps > (selected a game) > there was no option to transfer the game to my new sd card. The size of ad card is accepted by my phone. Is there a different process with the type of SD card I have? Thank you.
My old Moto E was easy to move apps to the sdcard. I now have a TCL A30 Model 51020 and it simply is not possible to move apps to the sdcard. None of the options in your video worked on the TCL.
I have a motorola. Developer mode is activated. When I go to my SanDisk SD card and hit the three dots, I have an option to format SD card. Do NOT have an option to format as internal.
When I press format as internal, it says internal error. I have moto g play 2021 with 32 gb and I bought 512 gb sd card. What seems to be the problem sir? Can you please help me?
I have a Hot Pepper Serrano Model HPPL - L55B And followed your directions but still unable to move anything to the SD card. The storage & cashe are not separate, unable to select only storage. I really hope you can help me.
I have a 2021 Moto G100 and I'm using a 200 GB SanDisk SD card. I don't get the option to format as internal. I only get the option to format. Any advise?
Samsung Galaxy A13 please, unless it's the same as Motorola. Is there a way to select all or multiple apps to move to SD card? It would be very helpful if there is. Thanks. I'm definitely looking forward to learning more about my Samsung and it's features, hidden features, rips and tricks. Ty so much

I have an Alcatel TCL A600DL phone. I have tried the steps to move apps I downloaded to the sd card but the option isnt there for the app to move to sd card. For example tiktok or amazon or DG app show no option to move to sd card.
