Tbh it looks kinda artificial and unnatural, idk how to put it in words... What I'd recommend to new animators is just planning the camera movement even before starting the rough sketch. Draw a shape for the whole character(s) and if there's a background, mark the background even before the character. Then, when the camera movement and stuff is done, bring the character to life in rough sketch, draw the body parts and stuff, make the key poses and movement. After that move to line art and stuff. Yes, it's way harder and I definitely don't have enough sanity to do this either :') but it's way better. The technique used in the video can't be used in most cases either and is very limited to only one kind of movement. There's stuff like perspective, which you can't get through this technique; the background changes are even harder to make naturally, but impossible with this technique. Ever seen anime? There's a lot of camera movement there. Some may be sliding across the screen just like this, but in most cases, you'll see they don't use this technique since it appears so... Flat. You wanna add 3 dimensionality, have the camera movement be natural and do more stuff than just simply slide acros the frames? You gotta do it yourself. Watch tutorials on camera movement and practise a lot before succeeding, but believe me, it's gonna be with it :) I am no expert and I might make mistakes, so please correct me or feel free to add any other advice. Also, the animation is sick!!

Would this work for action scenes? Can you move the camera up,down, and diagonal?
