Not working. got it into the other picture but nothing happend in the other picture. more instruction would have been helpful to follow it. I looked for this solution to this problem: I have two pictures of same object. One has a spot where it is burned out from sun, the second picture has not this burned out part. I want to copy the good part into the picture with burnt out part. I hoped that this video would have been the solution, but it seems it is not. Any tip how to copy part into same picture to put that layer over? thanks
Those instructions are how to move empty selection from one document to another. You want to copy pixels, right? To copy pixels you need Copy command, on Windows it is Ctrl + C on Mac Cmd + C then switch to another document and paste or with selection active switch to Move tool (activate it) then drag as explained in video above.
@@nyquisthouse6352 Location of the image? I do not understand you. This is tutorial how to move selection around and how to move selection to another open document. Location of image is not mentioned anywhere. Can you clarify what exactly you want to do? Perhaps it is better to ask on Adobe forums where you have more space for explanation and you can also post and screenshot to explain your intent and problem.
@@nixolimpica7931 With selection active go to Select > Save Selection. Save as new channel and give it meningful name. In another document go to Select > Load Selection and from Document drop down choose Document name in which is saved selection and channel name you want to load. This will work only if both document have same dimensions.
Your expectation is reason for frustration. Selection is selection, marching ants many will say. If you want to copy content inside selection use Copy or Copy Merged then paste in another document.
