As she move from africa to uk.. Then she moved to usa right!! How much years or experience is needed. We can start the process immediately or we need to stay a bit longer like 1-2 years???
Some one mentioned on a youtube video that if you are trained as a UK nurse,you cannot practise as a USA nurse but they accept nurses trained from overseas...how true is this please?
Please check Fatima. I heard someone contacted Pearson vue to confirm this information and they denied and said only in South Africa you can take NCLEX. The centre there is for other exams like CBT. Please double check. South Africa is the only country in Africa to take the NCLEX
@@aayushma55 yes that would be great. I graduated 2022 in Scotland adult nursing. From what I gathered it looks like it impossible but I didn’t give up. When did you graduate?

Very helpful video. I mistakenly selected Minnesota as the board of nursing when completing the CGFNS application. Unfortunately, I could not complete the online application with Minnesota board as they were requesting for a USA based home address and SSN. Can you please share your experience and if you encountered similar issues
Hi George! No they didn’t ask me for house address and SSN. Started the process in England. They only told me to take another Ielts because the one I used for CGFNS reg had expired and also take a refresher course because I graduated almost a decade ago

@george I encountered same issue with Washington but when I called them they gave me an option to be able to access the application for nurses for outside usa. Try calling Minnesota

Thanks for the information, but I will like to know what to do next after NCLEX exam,I applied to New York board without going through CGFNS and I ve been asked to book for NCLEX.If I want to change my Board of Nursing ,do I have to go thru evaluation process again?
Does it mean one should start studying for nclex even before u start with the whole registration process? And do u have to write ielts when u are coming from the UK
How about if your nursing degree is done in the UK? Can you still work in the USA as a RN? Is this actually possible? As the nurse here has her nursing qualification elsewhere, I understand to work as an R.N. in America, UK nurses degree May have deficiencies and this complete process is difficult. Please advise.
hey Priscilla thanks for responding, Well I tried to do it and after much money and over three years I just ended up leaving it alone because they were basically telling me that I needed to top up my degree with qualifications in children, midwifery & mental health nursing as all US nurses have all of that in their degree I would like to tell you more about this detail, how would you like me to do this?
I have a uk nursing degree. Child nursing. Washington state has allowed me to do my nclex! Thank God I applied and just tried out my luck. I used JS&A and they saw my degree As equivalent to USA.
