You can move to Hawaii! The only thing stopping you is you!
I studied on Oahu which made it possible for me to stay in the US.
This is just an example how I did it and I am sure there are many of you who did it differently.
The downside of a student visa is that I had to work a lot in advanced since I was not able to work with my student F1 visa.
I recommend visiting the island before since it is extremely expensive to life there. I also made a vide about pros ans cons of living in Hawaii if you wanna check that out:
• PROS AND CONS OF LIVIN...
In 2016 you can easily spend $1,500 for a one bedroom or studio apartment in downtown Honolulu if you want to be close enough to walk or bike to anything you need to get to. I mean you can EASILY spend that. For food, you can spend $500 per month for one person or much more, up to you.
Or, you can learn to live with less and get a room in a house for around $750. You could eat on $350 to $400 per month in Hawaii if you’re smart. The Chinese market in the morning on the weekends has lots of fruits and vegetables for reasonable prices.
Here you can find more visa information that might fit you better:)

If you have any questions about Hawaii :) feel free to leave a comment. I don’t know everything about life in Hawaii obviously, but I’ll be happy to give it a shot.
