Moving abroad can be a big undertaking, although it is a very exciting adventure, it also involves a lot of planning and admin and it can be difficult to know where to start! That's why I've put together this video to give you an in-depth step-by-step guide on how to move to the United Kingdom. These tips are based on my personal experience when I moved over from South Africa 2 years ago and I hope they will help you on your journey as well!

Hey there. When you left SA, did you have to present any documents such as police clearance, unabridged birth certificate, tax compliance, etc. at immigration? Your videos are actually quite insightful and much appreciated 😊

Hi as South African Indian Would I be able to take my spices from SA to UK? I have been told the spices are not that nice lol there

South African food definitely has a lot more flavour that's for sure! I know you are not allowed to take any dairy or meat products into the UK, but I am not sure about spices. You might be allowed to bring small quantities but I would definitely first check the airline rules as you don't want any unnecessary drama when traveling.

Could u please tell me what form of your marriage you submitted for your application? I have the shorter abridged marriage certificate from home affairs, do u have to submit the unabridged marriage certificate? This certificate takes very long to get.

I just used my abridged marriage certificate which was fine. I tried to get the unabridged version but also had numerous issues and they just never had the document even when it was passed the collection date so I kind of gave up on getting it. I might try again when I go back for holiday.
