I dropped this idea from my mind about once I considered gun laws and shootings in school. Canada may not be as wealthy as The US but i know that my child will come back home from school everyday.
Most importantly, you could mention that TN visa is a single intent visa unlike H1-B which is a dual intent visa that allows applications to Green Card once certain eligibility criterias are met after 6 years. Although the employer has to sponsor and it is also very much complicated. But TN visa doesn't allow permanent migration. You have to switch over to H1B or EB-5 or some other visa. However, I love TN visa given its certainty and the kind of freedom it allows for the family to be brought in the US. Your Canadian citizen spouse can live and study in the US, kids can go to the school too. If the spouse wants to work, he/she has to apply for their own TN visa and can work. On the other hand, if you are on E-2 visa, the spouse directly becomes eligible to work as an E-2 dependent without a dedicated visa for their self.
i was on H11b visa for 3 years but decided to move to Canada..living on an H1B is not healthy guys..its basically closed work permit and if you lose your job you have literally 60 days to leave the country or else you are illegal..owning a house is also out of the question if you are on H1B because banks hesitate to give you a mortgage..and most importantly the employer will basically treat you like a personal slave since they know your circumstance..not worth living in such stressful environment all the time..
Depends. If you came to US on some shady body shop companies like Infosys/Accenture/TCS from India, then Canada is better. But if you studied in the US, are working in product companies like Qualcomm, Apple, Broadcom on H-1B then US is much better than Canada despite the risks. Almost all my friends in bay area are on H-1B and have good cars, and own mortgage from 2 to 3 million USD. They had no issues in getting bank loans. I lived in US for 10 years as a student and then worker. Moved to India for personal reasons and later decided to come to Canada just for backup of Canadian passport, as I realized its difficult to adjust back in India. I have already started to work remotely for Qualcomm, San Diego in September 2024. My H-1B visa stamping is in December 2024, I file for Canadian citizenship in Feb 2025 and immediately leave for the US. I would come to Canada later just for the oath thing.
Shinatshu bro, I remember you are also in IT industry, So I would recommended and request that it would be great if you make videos on moving to US options for people in IT domain especially which makes it more focused towards our industry expertise . Thanks in advance.
Hi please make a detailed video on E2 visa for self employed Canadians want to buy a grocery, gas station, motel or a fast food franchise in the US. Thanks
Great video as always brother. One question, If I am on a TN visa and I want to call my spouse from Canada, how can I do that? She needs to be a Canadian Citizen as well?
Yes you can get TN visa. But it depends a lot on your area of expertise. I work with Antenna and RF systems, some people in my company even have US green card but are unable to get job in US. The quality of work and research in Canada is so low that a Principal Engineer in Canada knows less than a senior engineer in US. Top private companies like Qualcomm/Apple dont care about citizens/visa and only needs best people, and Antenna/RF systems jobs in government contractors needs citizenship. So these peole are stuck. They are unable to crack interviews. One of my colleagues got the green card 3 months back and he was shocked to see US companies interview for 5 to 8 hours.
@@rohanutep81 Not really. If you are born outside India, lawyers knows workaround to even file for TN visa even if its not dual intent like H1/L1. You should be outside only when I-140 is filed. Sometimes I-485 has some issues on TN, but then you can always go via DS-260 consular processing route for an immigrant visa. Even for green card you technically don't need to be on H-1. My friend, from India but born in UAE was working in Microsoft and failed to get H-1 after all OPT/Stem opt attempts. Company filed or his PERM while he was on STEM OPT, sent him to Microsoft Canada office when his I-140 was filed and he came back to US via DS-260 immigrant visa processing.
@@rohanutep81 Also, you don't need any visa to get green card. If you have a PhD, 200+ citations and good recommendations, you can get US green card without stepping outside India. EB1A.
