I've built my local site and now I'm going to follow this video to migrate it to the live site. I might add that the reason I built the website locally was because the DNS took far longer than normal to propagate. Truly excellent video! Thanks.

Thank you for the video. To begin with I am a newbie. I'm currently hosting with hostgator and when I look at the file thru file manager I see the top level but I have 2 other websites who are in the top level. Not sure if I am describing it right but. If I migrate from local drive to the host will this wipe out the other web site that are the same directory structure. Thank you for your time in advance.

And I can't find any good explanation how licences for plugin pro versions are been handled on production and stanging site. Probably that is dependant for different plugins but whats best practice?

I'm gonna die😳becuase after searching for 5 days and losting my site due to minded experiments for migration to blue host, although thanks to god I took the backup already and regot it on the local host, I found this video on my home page feed and when I watched this video and I tried it, the heart was sinking sinking because I finally done it, I'm not showing off bro really I were faint after I got the result, and my sister made me wake-up be spraying water on my face, and my sister told me that I was faint on my chair adn she made me woke up, and when I told her that the reason was happiness of fainting, my sister suggested that to dislike this video and never to visit this channel otherwise this channel will definitely kill me. And I laughed too much. But this was really serious ❤❤ Overall thanks, also don't make this much nice content, I will die really one day 🙂🙂

You're welcome! In this case : (1) you would upload the files & folders that are within your wordpress folder to the root of your web hosting web folder (2) import the db file with the PhpMyAdmin access from your web hosting company. (3)that is if the domain is the same domain as your website was initially on. If the domain name has changed, then you will need to do a "find" of all instances of "yourolddomain.com" are referenced and replace those with "yournewdomain.com"

Well, nice video for beginners. But I don't need such a plugin. I simply login to localhost, export my database, find and replace localhost with the live url, upload my wp-folders configure the cinfig.php, import my database (sql) and i am done. Perfectly done with no problems at all.

I'm using the latest version of ai1-wp migration plugin, and im at the import stage however its stuck at 11% - Restoring Database. The file being restored is 236mb in size. It's been stuck at 11% for over an hour now. I suspect something has gone belly up. Should I leave it alone and be patient or simply cancel this import and download an older version of the ai1-wp migration plugin and the alternative method instead?

I want to migrate and edit the migrated website into a new idea bc I like the template. But then once I edit and open the site on my browser, it doesn't appear like the migrated site. This plugin seems to only let you import up to 80mb without paying.... Why did it not say that in your video? Your web is over 80mb, but it's not a problem. Did they change the max limit?
