Yeah, if you're going to get a muscle up for the 1st time, it's not gonna be after you've done 15 pullups, 15 straight bar dips etc 😂 It's going to be when you're atleast a bit fresh. And then he did 2. lol
requirements: suck at muscle ups, 1:15 pull-ups (perfect form) 15 reps 1:35 hanging L-sit 15 seconds 1:58 straight bar dips 15 reps 2:26 toes to bar 10 reps 2:53 hanging leg raises ?? 3:00 negative muscle-ups 10 reps 3:04 jumping muscle-ups 10 reps 5:37 magic button 10x 7:45 L-sit pull back ??X 10:34 lay over the bar 10x Insane Like video, Save it for later
I have unsuccessfully tried muscle ups before, but I watched this video and a couple of days later I did my first muscle up. Two weeks later I now do 5 unbroken. Turned 60 a few months ago.
Just did my first muscle up today, definitely had a big smile on my face. But it didnt last long because i was in a busy outdoor park and i didnt want to come across too overly excited haha
Did mine a couple of days ago, I was already going into it thinking it wouldn't work (I had been trying every couple of days for a month), so when I realized I was on top of the bar, there was a big "Oh shit!" Moment
After 4 months training for the muscle up and working up to the requirements , I finally achieved my first clean muscle up today, what a great feeling achieving one of your biggest goals, Thank you Chris.
@@I-am-Anonymous-001 It took me 4 months of specific training but I was weak at pull ups and core , I was able to do 8 pull ups and no l sit , so I had to work on the requirements and upped my pull ups and learned the l sit , at the time I achieved the requirements I was able to do chicken wing muscle up , so I just did high pull ups and band assisted muscle up and I got the clean one , it took me around 1 month and a half to clean it , so if you have the requirements it won't take you more than 60-45 days , you just need the specific training , I advise you to train high pull ups and band assisted muscle ups.
I refused to do crappy muscle ups during my first year of training, working on my strength and form. Done my first muscle ups with light assistance a month ago and now rocking my first strict muscle ups with no bands (legs as straight as possible), thanks to you Chris, who taught me that only perfect practice makes perfect. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Chris. Big inspiration 💪🏼
@@LeNaja2010 oh dang streetlifting I’ve been calling it powered calisthenics lmao and I’m doing well I messed up last year by not working out so right now I can only do 18% extra body weight of myself but so far doing good💪 hope you get stronger and thanks
Karim G.S. sub on his SoundCloud Chris Heria. At 10k, he will upload all his music...and get as many people as possible to sub too. The faster it gets to 10k, the faster the music will be uploaded.
@@corporateliquidator5357 the scheme works totally fine (checked it myself) im0-tub-ru.yandex.net/i?id=9c7baae98c815e0aa07e8bdf39695c1d&n=13 its week nymber in every column and number of reps, do it every second day (I do it twice a week, work ok too)
I can't forget my first muscle up ..I did it in open gym in park..I literally screamed in excitement... Awesome feeling..🔥.. thanks u soo much sir...ur my first calisthenics teacher.. I've just completed 1 year of calisthenics 🙏❤️❤️
I started training this progression in November (around 8 months ago). Many times thought I would never be able to do even 1 muscle up but I kept training, even through the pandemic. Yesterday I did my first unassisted muscle up I'm so happy all the work I put in actually paid off in the end. Thank you for the help Chris!
i remember doing my first muscle up after like four months of training. Unforgettable emotions. Now I can do like five in a row but that fiirst one was very special to me
Jml Vvn I’m sure he will but he’s explained how to increase your reps (video on his Thenx channel I think). You need to max out your pull ups, and then go down the progressions and make sure you’re maxing those out along with having with perfect form :).
Hey Chris, Just wanted to let you know I got my first muscle up today because of your help after two weeks of trying (and went for another!). Gonna keep working on getting stronger and gradually reduce the momentum from the magic button and the L sit pull back and hopefully soon be able to just brute force it without using either! Thank you again 🙌🏻
Great video! One thing I'd like to see is a vlog on equipment such as how you set up current bars or maybe alternatives. training around alternative equipment to get a similar effect. People out here tryna budget lol
Yo Chris Thank you very much for this video! In May I challenged my self to do 50 Pull-ups and 100 Push-ups every day, I completed that challenge! My next challenge was to do a muscle up! Today June 20 2019 I did my first muscle up! With out This Video and your knowledge I wouldn’t have been able to Do a Muscle up this fast. This video and the break down was the best video out there.
today i will start training this and will comment when i muscle up clean, now can do 8 pull ups clean, let see how long i take, great content really cool you put this out free aswell as the app 👏
did muscle up few days ago, i got injured and didnt train properly for about 6 weeks but have been training consistently for 2 and half months now, i used resistance bands to assist for about 10 days then nailed my first muscle ups, this video deffo helped i also used a variety of other suggestions and probably over trained alot as i got the first muscle up after a 2 day rest
Chris, I got my first consecutive muscle up in my life, just 2 but I’m super stoked! I just wanted to thank you for teaching me something I struggled with for a long long time. I really appreciate it man. I been watching and working out to all your vids. Keep up the great work man. We all appreciate it. Much Aloha 🤙🏽
I just managed to do my first muscle up today!!! Ive been training for 2 months now and this is my first real achievement! Thank you so much for inspiring and motivating me to get where i am today! Next stop: planche push ups

Yeah I can do a muscle with pretty straight legs and almost zero kipping and I cant do 15 pull ups, i cant hold a 15 sec L sit i cant do toes to bar how many times your supposed to them (I cant remember) I can do the straight bar dip but you dont need that much strenght in It so 😂
Thank you so much for your videos! I recently lost a lot of weight recovering from jaw surgery (I was pretty shrimpy before so not a good thing in my case) but your videos really help motivate me to get my strength back. I'm almost back up to healthy weight and I really owe it to your encouraging words and the idea of working my way up slowly rather than being discouraged that I can't just jump right in. This is pretty out of my league right now lol but it's still awesome to think that I can get there one day if I keep at it. Thanks again. Much love! 💪
15 pull ups to chest with perfect form is much much much harder than a muscle up. i think he could have kept going too. there's no way this guy couldnt muscle up.
This have been my goal for 2 months, and I've been not only training hard to achieve a muscle up, but also eating well and resting properly. Thanks for the video! Eventually, I'll get it. 💪
[E]Mina Carolina It's all technique! The better your technique is the easier the movement will become. I have also struggled with Muscle Ups and now they're my favourite exercise. Keep on going 🤙
I never comment on videos, but top this can be done if you can hit all requirements other than the 15 pull up, I did 10 and met every other goal and did the muscle up, you just have to get the technique down
