The person who did the 12 strict was so impressive to me, I can barely get 2 strict down. Personally I think that guy was better than the last one. Both of them were great though.
Yeah, very impressive indeed.. looks like a gymnast doing them. Similar for me, I can do 3-4 strict, 10 if I'm allowed a bit of kip. 15 is already really difficult, don't think I'll ever do 15.
the strict form of latwist is unbelievable. Full range of motion, his arms are fully straight and scapular disengage at the bottom and even a pause before next rep. Impressive!
Wow, the guy who did 12 strict muscle ups is ridiculous! Also for anyone who has ever dislocated their shoulders, I'll advise to NOT try muscle ups. I reinjured my shoulder after attempting muscle ups after years without doing them lmao
@@asuraa3912 even stict it can be bad if you already have some shoulder issues, the dip position on straight bar does not put your shoulder in a favourable position if you have some impingement
@@asuraa3912 If you have unstable shoulders via dislocations / subluxation, I still wouldn't recommend attempting muscle ups. I could do relatively good formed muscle ups for over 10 years before the injury lol
The guy who did the 12 Strict muscle-ups, was one of the judges in the Austrian Calisthenics Championship this year, the guy is an absolute beast, watched him do his combo for 2 minutes. The guy brainfucked me with his moves.
All of them are awesome athletes. I was truly surprised of how hard willing many of them were to give an extra one, even when they were physically exhausted.
practice and technical goes a long way to get it done. whenever I stop doing pull-up and chin ups I have to take a day or so to get back to it. I usually do free weights so not losing muscle during the chin ups layoff
I never knew a movement could look so beautiful strict. The energy coming off the fully clothed dude was AMAZING from fingertips to toes was like aine giant plank.
I recently learned how to muscle up and it took 2 months until I could do one strict muscle up. This video just shows how tricky it still is to master it
@@_uchiha If you'd like to work on technique you could use a resistance band(wrap it around the bar, place one of your feet on the lower part of the band)to make the movement easier and lighter, therefore making the technique easier to perform

Ive been obsessed with these after seeing this!! Been trying for 3 weeks and hit my first one yesterday!! I was only able to do 1 in a row but I hit it twice!~! super stoked!
I love calisthenics and fitness. I have been into it for many years. I'm still trying to do a muscle-up lol, takes so much strength and experience and practice.
I'm 61 years old and have been using the internet since it existed. You are the only "fitness channel" persona that I _really_ like. Keep up the great work buddy!
@@e.tsonev Both of them passed away in September 2020. My dog from old age. Then my cat who was only 14 completely stopped eating and got sick. Until a couple of months ago when I found a kitten at Dunkin donuts, it was even more depressing having a quiet home. The dog was more my wife's, and the cat was mine.
The first time I did a muscle up successfully I ran around the gym high fiving everyone. Working at getting back to it now. It's the transition that's tough, and the need to shoot up and carry over the bar. I've been trying no kip muscle ups but it's very tough. 6'0 211lbs.
@@unearthlynarratives_ That is mostly true in the calisthenics world, but someone, who weighs 100 pounds and doesn’t work out, will probably not do as many push ups or run as fast as someone, who weighs 200 pounds and works out very consistently. While using weights, mostly heavier people can lift more than lighter people, but someone, who weighs 130 pounds in this case and has been lifting weights very consistently for many years, can potentially lift more weight than someone, who weighs 180 pounds in this case and rarely ever lifts weights.
I knew that I saw Austen during those record pullups!! I saw the green shirt and shorts and was like, "Is that Austen?!". Great video, keep bringing in the inspiration!
@@johannes01 Jazeker! Eigenlijk vooral weighted pullups en weighted dips en muscle ups enzo. Ben redelijk lang dus heb veel moeite met planches en front/back lever, maar werk eraan.
the last guy that did 16 muscle-ups had a tattoo that wrote ΑΔΕΛΦΟΣ which in greek means brother. That was really interesting to see that the greek language is getting into tattoos even these days.
Dude you should do a collaboration with the youtuber Browney, he is a real fighter, and I feel like it would be a really good video. However, I love your videos and they motivate me to be the best I can be and the strongest I can.
Hello Nick, my name is Daniel and I'm 14 years old at the moment and my personal best at muscle ups is 10, and i learned the muscle up in less than a year.
Great video also yesterday we had our first out door track meet where I ran the 4x4 with a time of 1:09 and and the 4x8 where I ran a time of 2:40(yes I know that it is slow but i am a sprinter change to mid distance and it was a great time
i hate to be that guy, but when you demonstrated a bar muscle up, my gymnast heart actually sank. That was worse form than most crossfitters. My coach would have never accepted that as anywhere close to a rep.
