" when the student is ready , the teacher will appear" ... This can translate as, the enquirer( student)receives the lesson(house system/chart reading) that she/he is ready to receive & at the time it is prescribed. All is well cosmos makes no mistakes🤫😉💛
Rick mentioned that he’s the “question” astrologer. Being more focused on or content with the question than the answer is a typical open head and ajna (human design) quality, so I looked up Rick’s human design chart. He has an open head and ajna. This was SUCH a beneficial episode. After talking to someone who has very fixed beliefs about how astrology should be done (beliefs I have never agreed with), this was like a breath of fresh air for me, a feeling of relief. Thank you!!!!
When I started into astrology I was confused with the house systems with planets not falling into the same houses. I decided not to use house boundaries. And explore them in hemisphere and gained an understanding how it unfolded in my inner/outer expressions of the energies and how and where it played out in my life. It gave me a deeper feeling insight of the core source, resources where/what ever house it occupied.
I think one of the most helpful things I’ve learned so far in my study is that astrology happens in the moment when you’re asking the oracle. It’s not an exact science. It’s a living breathing cosmic thing that we get to engage with. If you can read the symbolism you can offer the person you are reading for, what they need to know at that moment. They will find what they most need from your guidance and intuition no matter how perfect your method. Just do no harm and keep learning because it continues to be fascinating!
I’m listening this again bc each time I listen, I hear something new. All the “Masters” have Humility at their core and are always listening and learning more. Thank You Rick, Amanda all of you once again. 🌠🫶I always feel “comforted “ like a bowl of warm soup for the soul. The more I learn, the more I know how much there is to learn. My mind is just sooo grateful for all of you here.
Excellent presentation! Even though I have listened to Rick saying all of this before. This message is so important that I actually want to hear this again and again. And I get new insights every time I hear it. Thank you Rick! 💛🙏
Have been a student of the practice for a coupla' years now, and still I'm just now "stepping" out by doing some friend's charts. The experience you describe of getting all bogged down in the details, is exactly what I'm going through on a recent chart!... And I realized on my own- before seeing this video- that I was somehow fooling myself about what I thought I "knew" of a particular interpretation, and that this was a danger... Your advice about using the interpretations as a platform for formulating questions (not answers) is golden! I'm also a student of one your A-Hub courses, and was introduce to A-Hub via your videos... I have loved the journey ever since. You, and Amanda, and A-Hub- always golden!
100% agree, why I love astrology because it constantly reveals itself, humbling we never know it all. I started with Placidus prefer Koch, not sure this is only one house system that works. I attended a workshop with Noel Tyl in Denver it was awesome!
Rick, I really needed to listen to you today. I was starting to have thoughts about Astrology exactly because of what you talked about. Absolutes instead of relatives, Report vs questioning and curiosity/ exploration into the person's self discovery. I have also doubts in using Tropical vs Sideral sys.... Anyway, just to say that I am taking your class in Harmonics because of this video. 🌟
I too stated doubting my astrology journey when introduced to Vedic/ Sidereal astrology. Which both makes sense to me. But can they both be true? And is it possible to use both in tandem with one another. ??? I literally asked my Angel guides 2 nights ago for an answer abs should I abandon Astrology all together. I asked to be revealed in a dream. Well. No dream. But when I checked in on “ THE HUB”. HERE IS THIS VIDEO! About fraud and icing on the cake. My favorite astrology teacher Rick Levine🥰. I resonate most with him. We are closer in age. Lol.
@@StardustAscending Agree! I do believe in the energy of the planets and that they do have a connection to us as we are also energy. But for the rest I am experiencing a moment of discernment.
I loved this episode! I can definitely relate to if I listen to an astrologer who says it's my way or the highway, I'm out of there. It was also a good refresher for me because as a beginner, I was taught with Placidus (which is still my main house system), but I do listen to others who use whole signs (which changes my chart a lot, but I've learned to blend them for my chart and that works for me). I just appreciate the view that there are no absolutes. Love learning from you, Rick! Amanda, you ask the best questions. Thank you both!
Could not agree more. Several astrologers, when in discussion with each other will reply: "ABSOLUTELY!". Me: incredulous -- followed by grain of salt, as motive seems to be to support the colleague and fashion next response. Virgo moon right here. I guess my point is to be a bit more mindful with the responses as a matter of integrity and maturity.
My anecdotal experience tells me that whole sign houses with midheaven and ascendant is correct. I lived my first 20 years plus as an astrologer taking Placidus, Koch and all the rest as the norm and with any and all of those setups I have absolutely nothing in the 5th house yet I can play any and all musical instruments that I take the time to learn which now includes lead vocals in all registers and outside what most humans can do, guitar electric and acoustic, drum kit, bass guitar and I can play upright if I had one to play on a regular basis, plus I can paint, draw, etch, mold, compose songs, poetry, stories...my Venus and Jupiter are most certainly not 4th house because they're to the left of my other than whole sign 5th house cusp. My Sun is 4th, not 3rd and I know this from deep abiding experience. The other things are just wrong in my case, they make no sense. Maybe it's Uranus and Pluto in my first and Saturn as my highest planet, Capricorn Sun but the old system wasn't broken and the new systems just add noise that obscures my truth. As planned obsolescence goes to seed it's obvious that new does not always equal better. If the ruler of my ascendant is in the 5th house then all my real skills make perfect sense. I otherwise have nothing but space dust in my 5th house. Libra is just as easily a lawyer or a politician as artist unlike Leo or Pisces. Put my Venus in the 5th, and Jupiter and there you go. My chart makes perfect sense.
Flute, didgeridoo, harmonicas...what have you? Let me practice with one and if it be a musical instrument I can learn it. If it be solid enough to hit with sticks my drumming skills can turn a wooden park bench into a marimba. And you want me to believe my Venus is 4th house with nothing at all in my 5th? Poppycock!
Whole sign houses are symbolic too (sacred geometry). Symbolic systems work. Whole sign seems to give us more nuts & bolts facts, whereas Placidus seems to work more psychologically/emotionally/spiritually, also important information.
As Bruce Lee said"...there as many different styles of martial arts as as there are practitioners of martial arts, when you know the parts you string them together in your own way.."
It would be helpful if there would be content dividers installed in this. For instance, Rick talked about Mars opposed Sun , or later he talked about Saturn transiting moon and it would be nice to be able to easily find those chapters in this video
This was a nice discussion. My 2 cents or two scents: The constellations provide the scenic backdrop in the life of the 4 act play unfolding under the spotlights (the sun, moon, and other wandering luminaries) on the stage (earth, terra firma). Over time, we know that the backdrop scenery of the solstice and equinox points (the play’s 4 seasons or acts) visually shift. So the question is does winter solstice (act I) feel Capricornian when the backdrop is no longer Capricorn and does spring equinox (act II) still carry Aries energy in thousands of years? If yes, then the scenery or modality of the play is changeable and subjective, even if the backdrop scenery eventually rotates 180 degrees (through precession) but what is not replaceable is the angle of sunlight, the measurement of light created by the sun’s angle to the earth surface. Scenery, backdrop, constellations are subjective. But geometry is objective, measurable, and serves as a point of reference of space-time. Aspects, or measured angles of light between luminaries in a horoscope, as well as in Synastry, are real, spatial alignments, Saturnian in nature. Cycle phases ( separating and applying) taught in Evolutionary Astrology are applicable, no matter which backdrop (sidereal or tropical) is used. The energy of the constellations varies with what wandering luminaries are passing through them. Constellations are reference points for the space-time of ages. The solution for me seems to be to look well at both sidereal and tropical, knowing that both horoscopes are subjective and open to new interpretations. It is only the cycle phases and angles of measured light between placements that can be interpreted conclusively, concretely, and logically. Thanks, Amanda. Loved that you raised this issue with Rick. He answers the question clearly.
I have a question for Rick. Do you feel the quality of a chart reflects a person's karma/past lives? A difficult chart, full of hard aspects, etc, indicate an individual soul desired challenges, is being, "punished", or is suppose to look for the path in the woods and navigate accordingly? Thank you : )
Astrology describes the tides but you can't pin point the exact position of a wave relative to a specific boat but you can tell high tide and low tide and the turning point.
Rick- you mentioned the 'fallacy of intercepted house". Can you give us your info/thoughts/explanation? Is that part of why you use Koch? I re-did my chart in Koch (from placidus) and the intercepted houses 'disappear'.
My moon is 6 pisces. My sun 25 capricorn. Last time saturn made a conjunction to my moon i lost my mother and got divorced. Right now, i feel im losing my second husband who is unwell. Similar theme different circumstances. My husband has saturn about to oppose his natal saturn in Virgo My natal saturn mars conjuction squares my moon venus conjunction. My gut tells me my life is going to change as it did 30 years ago. Im 67.
Wonderful discussion! Making me question the value of examining house placement at all. Don't houses exist to identify the area of life where the planetary energies are operating? Maybe only thinking of ascendant, midheaven, descendent and nadir as points in themselves with their own meaning?
i was using an app that uses the sidereal zodiac so after a few years of learning my chart in tropical, i decided to see what my sidereal chart looked like. instead of being a virgo sun, gemini moon, and aquarius rising with saturn in pisces, like in tropical, i have my sun in leo, moon in taurus, and capricorn rising with saturn in aquarius, so the Big 3 (sun moon and ruler of the ascendant) are all in signs they rule or where they are exhalted. i think that's pretty cool. plus intead of mars in fall in cancer i would have mars in gemini, but then venus goes from being in her sign of rulership, libra, to being in her fall in virgo. so it's not perfect, there are bonuses and setbacks in both zodiacs systems so at the end of the day it doesn't really matter (with my chart anyway)
